I get these fairly often. Today my kids and I saw a motorbike in front of us, and the driver was carrying some kind of folded-up bicycle on his back. We all did a double take, and then DD1 and I RCed. While driving to school we once saw a red sheep among the white ones. Still don't know what that was about, and I never saw it again, but the day continued normally.

Once when Dad was driving me to the doctor's, we went past a soccer field and saw thousands of bras hanging on a fence. I had to do a double take and RC a few times! I honestly thought I was dreaming. Jeez, real life can be weird sometimes, aye?

I was out with my wife, her old boss, the bosses sister, and some other people. We are in a bar. The sister comes over to me and is talking, she is obviously drunk. All of a sudden she wraps her left arm around me, pulls herself close to me, presses her face against my neck and says, "You smell so good!" I held up my left hand and counted my fingers, several times.

On my last night train trip a Chinese guy entered my room in the late morning - without knocking - and said something like "excuse me... can I borrow... card... shower?", and I was a bit surprised by his appearance.
I thought that alright, fine, I don't need it anymore anyway, since I was getting off the train in about an hour and I was getting ready to leave, so I let him borrow it - while keeping an eye on him, of course.
Then he thanked me and returned the card to me.
And then all of a sudden a Chinese woman - I guess it was his wife - comes and also wants to borrow that card!
So I reluctantly agreed again and had to keep an eye on her as well (sometimes I'm too kind), and suddenly I started thinking for myself - how often do two Chinese persons knock on your room door on a night train and ask for the card to the showers?
I felt I had to do a reality check at that point, which I did several times, and they all failed.

I was looking for a last piece of music to listen before bedtime and I suddenly say this video It was posted 3 weeks ago and it was a video!! A freakin new video of Ivry Gitls! As if that was not enough, it's from 1963, he is 40 years old so he still has his youthful energy and ability It was beautiful piece, but I had heard it way way too often to enjoy it anymore, or so I thought! Damn, he played it so good I teared up, it soothed my entire soul. Even if this was a dream and the video does not exist I would be eternally grateful for that blissful moment I just had.

This man is such a good violinist I have been in awe of his playing and longing to play like him since I first heard him and will be for the rest of my life.

One day in chemistry, me and my friends at my cluster were taking a pop quiz. Not thinking she was gonna grade it I left all of the questions blank. After the teacher said to switch papers to grade each others quizzes I crumpled up my paper and threw it behind me. After reluctantly picking up the paper I thew out to be graded I opened the paper to find all of the questions answered on it! Apparently someone who actually tried to do the quiz in a previous class crumpled up the paper and threw it. Not only that but my find wore a Boston T-shirt to school that my other friend usually wares so I was already suspicious of my surroundings. Upon opening the quiz we all burst out in laughter confused about what just happened. With them knowing about my obsession about lucid dreaming I waited till the last moment to do several dozen RCs when they weren't looking. This little incident still make me chuckle today.

I worked in midtown Manhattan for a dozen years, so RC moments were quite common for me. One of my favorite such moments came one December morning while I was walking through Rockefeller Center on my way to work, barely noticing my passage, when suddenly a camel strolled up to me, paused to consider me for a moment, then moved on. A camel in midtown Manhattan? Had to be a dream, I thought. But no, just an extra from the Radio City Music Hall out for a walk, I eventually realized.

I was walking down my road then on the highway I saw 5 different colored buggies that were honking non stop. This was a couple weeks or something ago

Yesterday in the gym sauna a young man got up suddenly, put on MY shower sandals (I saw him do this right in front of me, there could be no mistake, there were not a lot of people in the sauna at this time), and quickly started to leave the sauna. I said "young man, those are my sandals!" He turned around, put them back, and muttered something about "sorry..." and then left. I think he was trying to make a quick escape with my (quite nice) sandals. I saw him later in the locker room and his sandals were NOTHING like mine! I just realized I totally missed the opportunity for an RC here. I was joking with the other people in the sauna after he left about how one must be attentive to one's sandals!

A while ago I was reading on my iPod touch when the clock at the top of the screen flashed to something absurd (99:00? or maybe 4:30 AM when it was clearly afternoon). I blinked and it was back to normal. I did a lot of RCs after that... Still wonder if I imagined it though.

Whoa. Just now, my step mum came into the house and points out to me like 20 dead flies by the front door, and five on the window sill, and three on the kitchen counter. Like, holy shit, how did they all end up dead?!

Edit: Welp, looked around a bit more. Even more flies. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen so many...

I was just at an informal business meeting in a restaurant (my relative has a new venture and wanted my opinion). While the technical guy was giving me a demonstration, I looked down at my hand and there was a very strange red skin imprint there between my thumb and forefinger! A 1/4- inch diameter circle with a dot right in the middle. A very firm imprint, I did a nose pinch right away. I thought OMG what if this is a dream, everything was so vivid. I figured I must have been holding my hands so that my cuff button was sitting firmly over my other hand and made the imprint, but it was SO WEIRD when I saw it.

2 days ago I heard something so beautiful I cried like I had never cried before. But this time, I don´t know what happened, but I cried, I had tears rolling down my face for 3 minutes. During those 3 minutes, I was nearly uncoscious, couldn´t think any kind of thoughts or images whatsoever, I was so swept away by it. The only thing that went through my mind was Tartini's devil and that I was crying. When I found it I listened to it, it was quite nice. The second time I think I quit halfway. But the 3rd time (about 1-2 hours after discovering it), it just hit me like nothing hit me before. I was listening to this:


I don´t even remember the last time I cried, except for once when I was a kid.. I get watery eyes sometimes, if I am lucky, in the right mood, if I haven´t heard the piece in weeks or months and if the violinist plays with an almost otherwordly charm. Even getting swept away by the performance and being deeply inspired and touched doesn't always make my eyes water.

This reminds me Tartini's story, a great composer and violinist, born in 1692.

A couple days ago I bought two protein drinks, I believe they are called Protein Control or something - I buy them pretty often while studying because they have low sugar levels and 20 grams of protein per bottle, so they feel pretty ideal while studying for several hours - and there are two tastes at my store: banana and strawberry.
I could swear that I took both tastes, one bottle for each taste, and I even felt like one of them tasted like bananas, or something close to it.
And all of a sudden, I noticed that both of them were the strawberry taste!
I thought this was really peculiar, because I thought that they were different tastes, and I even had some vague memories that the bottles were red and yellow, as for strawberry and banana - and then I sat there for five minutes just checking my surroundings and looking for dreamsigns before I could conclude with any sort of confidence that I was awake.

Heh, yeah that's me on the profile picture, but I kinda liked the one I had before this one slightly better, but this will do.

Arrived to airport and it was eerily dark and empty. Sign on door said "Airport closed!". WTF!!?!? They opened a new airport and I missed that news somehow.

Mum and I were driving down the road. We both saw a man-shaped tree on the back of a truck and it kept moving, like it was dancing. I swear I thought it was actually a person.

Two waking WTF?'s in a row, (sandwiched around a couple of great vivid dreams during the night, the first one ending with 30 seconds of lucidity).

Last night:
+ return to hotel room, key doesn't work, it looks like they've added door jam protection to the lock
+ go to front desk, attendant greets me by name, I think "he knows my name?"
+ attendent asks me how was my weekend, I say great, the weather was fabulous. He just sort of looks and me and slowly shakes his head, like he disagrees with my assessment of *my* weekend. Now I'm getting creeped out. "Haven't you heard?" he asks? I'm thinking "WTF?", "heard what?" "The weather is going to get really hot this week".
+ as I'm leaving back to my room after he fixes my room key, he says "see you bright and early in the morning!" WTF? Really?

At breakfast:

+ I'm checking out a super cute girl while getting breakfast, and when I pick up some food next to her, she turns to me and says, "Good morning, handsome man!" I practically drop my cereal and mumble some weak response like "good morning." It took me 2-3 solid minutes of reeling from this unexpected comment before I thought to do a RC, then I did about 10 in a row .

Oh, and two nights ago, I was sitting in a room and in the distance I swear I saw a ghostly face in the window. It was a strange series of reflections but it creeped me out.

So I'm about to get into my car and I notice a cop parked on the street. i'm like okay I hope they move so i can get out. I look at the rearview mirror and see a cop crouching with a flash light speed walking towards me. I'm like holy shit does he think i'm stealing a car.

I get out of the car and he asked where i came from...I said from my house....He then says did you see anyone come through here? (I'm thinking kind of impossible if someone were to try because of the snow) I said no and so i'm like oooh shiiit. lol

His partner comes up behind him a bit fast pace. Then He says to her I thought I heard someone back here and might have seen a face behind this corner

They looked around quickly and concluded it would be impossible to get through anywhere or to hide anywhere and then they were on their way.

I sit in my car and do a couple of RCs lololol

This was a really odd coincidence but I forgot to RC! In a dream I had to call my son, who was at a concert. I spoke to him and asked him what section he was sitting in, he answered "B-12".

Later that day in waking like, I told my son about that dream, and he told me that previously in the day he had been working in the "B-12" section of his preparatory math test, which I didn't know!!!!!!

This may be my favourite thread ever!
I have these situations all the time... Here's a recent one:

Toilet disasters are my most reliable dream sign - either the toilets malfunction (they overflow or won't flush, etc.) or there are privacy issues (like the toilet door is missing, or people walk in on me, etc.)
Recently, in waking life, I was at a large public protest. I needed to use the toilet, which was located right in the middle of a city park (not within a toilet block, just a standalone toilet.) I tried to lock the door, but it didn't have any indicator to show when it was actually locked. I tried opening it a few times, and found that it wasn't locked. I couldn't get the lock to work, no matter what I tried, and the toilet was too far away from the door to be able to hold it shut (and I think it opened outwards, anyway.) There was a long line of people outside the toilet, and if someone opened the door, I would be exposed to the thousands of protesters who were gathered right outside. After numerous reality checks, I finally accepted that this was really happening, so I decided not to risk it, and just held it in throughout the protest.
