Significance of doors and dashing room to room?

Hi. When i go lucid the first thing i do after realising i'm dreaming is to begin opening a door then dashing through a room to another door and so on in sort of a panic to reach something? It's as if there's something just out of reach and to get there i'm hoping it's through the door.. and then the next one and so on. eventually i tend to end up flying way up past clouds and dive bombing back to earth but what is that door dashing thing i keep doing? it's everytime i go lucid! is this a well known thing or something i've become stuck with myself? strange...

I have never heard of it before. I recommend setting some dream goals and repeating them until they sink in. Then maybe you will stay more focused and start doing one of your goals.

If you aren't in control of yourself, you may not actually be lucid or you were having an extremely low level of lucidity. Are you in a building and desperately trying to get outside so you can fly?

I certainly feel lucid when this strange room to room thing happens ( 95% of every lucid dream). I don't think my target is to fly during this weird door dashing( i can fly pretty much everytime anyway so it's not something i'm desperate to achieve in the dream world) . I've been thinking about what it could be and i think it may be possible that this is my own personal way of trying to shape my dreamworld to how i want after realising i'm dreaming. I had a semi lucid dream last night but this time there was no door dashing althogugh i did fly directly through my bedroom window into the sky. I find it easy to go lucid but not so easy to control my surroundings.I think i will have to further investigate it during lucidity, it's not something that worries me.. more puzzles me than anything else. Oh well thanks for the replies!
