Would sleeping pills stop me from dreaming?
Im not sure if they help, in fact, I think it is very hard for you to stop having dreams. I mean, you have been dreaming since the first night of your life, even the days you think you didn't dream, its just because you forgot the dream.
The reason why I think it is very hard to stop having dreams, is because its the moment in which your subconscious mind has freedom to do whatever it wants, and it is also a way of your mind preparing for problems that might come up in your daily life.
If you want to keep on searching for a way to stop dreaming, I'm not going against you, but I just want you to notice that Dreaming is part of being human, and why not experience your body in another way by doing it? You are taking away lots of experiences if you stop dreaming.
I highly doubt sleeping pills would affect your ability to dream. Now, the content of your dreams and your ability to remember them? Maybe so, it's tough to say.
I would be against this physical fix to a mental problem. Even if you found a drug that could stop you from dreaming, it is unwise.
