      Dream Journal memory game

So after a while of recording every single dream every single day even if the dream is completely boring, I came up with a little game that can give even the most uninteresting entries a bit more meaning.

Basically when you write the description or an object, a person, etc. pick one more or less notable detail out. This detail will then be written right at the end of the entry and you leave a little mark after the description which points there. Alternatively you can just put the detail in spoiler tags (but that’s not so easy if you write your dreams in a book).

      A random example:

      Version A:

      (Text)

      (Text)

“When I walked out of the hotel, I saw a strange blue car on the street (*↓)”

      (Text)

      (Text)

*(the car had a blue taxi sign on its roof)

      Version B:

      (Text)

      (Text)

“When I walked out of the hotel, I saw a strange blue car on the street”

Spoiler for Unique feature or the car:

But the interesting part of the game starts when you re-read your entry after weeks, months, years or however long it takes until you don´t remember the dream very well anymore. Whenever you see the mark or the spoiler tag in your old entries try to remember what you wrote down back then before you show the spoiler or go to the end of the entry.

This way you can check if you truly remember the dream or if you are just visualizing it in your head like you would when reading a new story. If you remember the detail correctly, you won the game. If you don´t remember it or your visualization doesn´t contain the detail then you lost.

I just thought I’d share this little game with you guys and gals to keep you motivated to write down your dreams even when they´re sometimes boring.

      Opinions, anyone?
Some input would be much appreciated.
It´s no fun sharing ideas without knowing what others think about them.

Hm not a bad idea! You can basically make a word bank of the correct answers at the bottom and then later try to assemble them correctly. This would be effective as long as you invisioned it in your mind as you went along. If this would work for you, then you don't need our confirmation
