Need help why do I keep seeing this girl

I'm currently deployed. Not stressed and actually liking it better than back home. But really sleep deprived and when I actually sleep the dreams I see are really vivid and scared or really messed up. But once in a while I dream of this girl from back home. I never had a crush on her, she's but she is pretty, and wasn't really good friends will say hi when we see each other and nothing more. And the last time I saw her was the day I graduated high school and this was 7yrs ago. But the dreams I see of her are the good / happy ones. Nothing sexual or any thing just dream of me hanging out with her and having fun. What I don't get is why do I dream of her I totally forgot about her until I started dreaming of her even forgot her name until I said her name in like the third dream I saw of her. And why is it that that's the only good dreams I see. And I have no contact with her what so ever she doesn't even have a Facebook

Ok, I don't know you or your situation at all obviously, but here's what popped into my head. Most likely your frightened subconsciously - if not you'd have to be a sociopath or something, assuming deployed means you're in a combat zone. It's very common for people to push fear or anger down into the subconscious and not even be aware of it consciously at all, but it's still there and shows up in dreams. The girl might just represent your mind's idea of an earlier time in your life when things were simpler, maybe safer? Like it's taking you back to that time and showing you how life might have been or something, I don't know. IN stressful situations dreams will sometimes just take you to a happy place, that's all I can think of. For some reason it randomly used her for that.

I just realized if you were in a combat zone you probably wouldn't be able to post messages on lucid dreaming boards (or would you?).. Can you clarify that?

We get wifi in the bx. And we dont live outside the wire all the time get a day off every 7days. But really I'm not scared at all I'm actually more relaxed here, compared to all the sb and the show we have to put up back home. And out of all the people why that girl specifically

Ok, thanks. I have no idea why that girl - sometimes the mind really just does stuff randomly like that. Oh, I meant to say earlier, if something happens in one dream that really catches your attention it can become a recurring theme in dreams for a while. The girl might have just been random at first and you wondered about why, and that made her keep showing up in the rest of the dreams.

The reason is likely nothing complex. We tend to dream of people we've seen/known rather than creating fresh, new faces. You should try asking this in the dream interpretation area, where people will be more likely to help you better.

I agree with darkmatters. Its just your mind taking you back to a familiar place and time. But who knows, maybe when you get back home, you might look her up and get married and have kids and grow old together ......;)
