Hi there,

So I tend to experience sleep paralysis semi-frequently. It comes in waves, usually. Will happen quite a few times over a six month period, then stop for a while. I had the first experience of it in ages last week. It was different to my others though, and to be honest I'm not sure if it actually was sleep paralysis or if I was just dreaming it?

Anyway, getting to the point. There I was, sleeping on my back (which I know I shouldn't do because I always get nightmares like that) and I woke up and couldn't move. I was relatively calm, and I saw this thing run over the wall next to me, which I just thought was a hallucination associated with it.

Then once I could move, I got up and went to the bathroom. Everything was really weird though, and it felt as if I was not actually there? I felt like a ghost. I tried to turn the light switch on but my hands wouldn't be able to to, and then all of a sudden I fell back to myself in my bed. Literally felt like I was falling through the floor and then somehow into myself on my bed.

This has happened a lot, the last part, where I fall back to myself when I'm sleeping.

Any idea if that's normal? What it means? Is it sleep paralysis or did I just dream I was having it?

I'm not sure if this is in the right thread or not. Sorry if I've got it wrong
