      How to improve dream recall?

I know that there's probably a ton of these threads already but for some reason I couldn't find any(well, that and the fact that I'm lazy)

I've been having troubles remembering my dreams. Right when I wake up I try to remember but it just slips right out of my brain.

      What techniques do you use?

      Thanks.

I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

My recall was poor in the beginning too. After a few days of writing my dreams down, I already could remember at least one dream per night
You should really look for something like 'Dream recall tutorial', lots of tutorial out here

      Dream Recall Tutorial
      Dream Recall Compendium
      Mental Map Recall

If it helps, better than any technique or trick, it's a matter of habit: train yourself to immediately scan your last memories when you wake up (you can do this for a few minutes when you go to bed), spare some time during the day to write in your Dream Journal (regardless of whether you have much or nothing to write about), and be consistent: creating this routine will help you be more mindful about your dreams when you wake up.

^^ What they said ought to be enough, but here's another thought...

Try these two things (on top of the stuff Zoth and Martijn already said): first, think about your upcoming dreams before sleep, and really be sure you are going to remember them. Then, when you wake up, hold still, and quietly clear your mind of all things except where you were just a moment earlier; don't think about getting up, what you have to do today, or who that is talking dowmstairs. Just remember your dreams, and write down whatever comes to you, no matter how vague or silly.

And check out those links Zoth provided!

Desire to improve your dream recall, and try to do so using the tips that others have given and that are written.

From my experience, dream recall seems to fluctuate based on how actively you pursue it.
