      Weird dreams with direct messages

I was wondering if anybody ever has dreams with text (writing) in them and nothing else. I've had a few very odd dreams that simply consist of text on some type of background. They all seem to have some type of 'deep' meaning to them. Here are some of them (the third seems the most interesting to me):

      1) Slowly a picture of a book begins to fade in. It eventually becomes almost as real as real life. It is titled "A Christmas Story" by (some guys name I forgot, but I looked it up right after). It was some strange book written in the 1890s that I'd never heard of. It wasn't around Christmas either.

      2) I remember seeing this picture and the more I focused on it the more realistic it became. It got to the point were it looked like I was viewing it on a screen in real life. It was alluminated just like that. It was a picture with three large words on it. They were colored with these very psychedelic patterns/fractals. I remembering trying to discern if this was real life or not and then I relized it was not. I was almost completely unable to read the words. I remember having to sound it out like a kid would. As soon as I thought I figured out what it said I thought no no. I then kept repeating the words to myself frantically so I wouldn't forget because I felt like I was going though all these weird different states as I was waking up.

When I woke up I rembered it said:

      Going?
      Choice.
      Think.

      3) The whole family is in some kind of "banquet hall" type place. (maybe a church, but it didn't seem like it.) There are two paintings on a wall on opposing sides. They are each changing frames about every 1 second. (they are not screens, just paintings.) I remember the one side being relatively normal, but I forgot what it was showing. The other side started out with these "religious figure" type drawings and then got a bit weird. Finially, it ended with some creepy dead face thing. Me and lars saw it, got scared and told everyone watching the other one about it, but they seemed disinterested.

      Ambient type music starts playing.
Quick blast noise and vague fractal.

Then a black background with cyan text:
      "Ignore the bad boys"

      Clears. Then:

      "Pro medium find test"

      - This ones weird because I don't believe in "mediums". I think it could have meant medium as in platform.

      4) Just today I had a creepy dream that was just a picture of a gravestone with "Kathleen D Wall" or Kathleen Dewalt or Kathy D Wall". I don't know or have heard of anyone with that name.
      Dthoughts and Hilary like this.

Yes, I sometimes have dreams that consist solely of reading text, such as a book or a document on a computer. Usually what I'm reading about seems really intriguing but can be very hard to remember much of upon awakening. I often experience similar reading activities during dreamlets as well (right around the boundary of sleep, going into or coming out of it).

A while back, I had a dream of just reading/editing my dream journal on the computer, which described all sorts of fascinating dreams that I never remember having, but which seem like they could have plausibly existed. (It's not uncommon for me to look at my dream notes in dreams and have this happen; I should try it more often!) Today I had one of reading a book that explained how distant matter in the universe could have an effect on matter here on Earth, or perhaps a very distant alien civilization being able to affect things here somehow (I can't remember exactly).

Often I even get the impression that I still felt my body lying in bed during these, though I can't be certain (it's not something I'm focused on).

      YOU BET IT DOES
OK seriously though, seems like your subconscious has a lot of fun picking up on written cues.
I had a dream that consisted only of an implausibly complicated mindmap of encyclopedia entries about historical celebrities and colored lines connecting them. It didn't have any meaning whatsoever, though (at least none that I could decipher). I was pretty sick at the time, so that's where that weird dream may have come from.
