Do you have any tip to remember your dreams at morning?

Yersterday morning, when I woke up, I could not remember any of my dreams, but I had that sense of having them somewhere in my memory within hand's reach. Then, when I got up, I saw something that made me start remembering one of them. At the end I had almost 3, which is quite an achievement for me. Today I had the same sense. I hoped to cath something at some moment that made me start remembering, but I found nothing and I could not remember any dream.
It's really frustrating knowing how easily you could get back those memories with the right "clue", but not finding it.

Do you have any tip to get back your dreams when you just woke up and you're still in bed?

      Some tips : yes

When you wake up, don't move (if you move a little, it's ok), and just keep scanning your memory, even if it starts with absolutely nothing.
Give yourself about one or two entire minutes, closed eyes, just trying to catch something.
If it doesn't work, try to think about random details of your every day life : car, work, house, room, street, friends, family, and so on.
      maybe a memory will raise.

When you wake up in the middle of the night with fresh memories of a dream, but you want to continue to sleep, just record or write some keywords and return to sleep.
You can do it without light, it's only about writing or recording words, not sentences.
When you'll wake up again, with these keywords, you'll catch easier the entire dream memories.

I know that feeling, and I hate it. Having an epic dream and the next moment it's completely gone. I have had dreams come back to me even days after the dream occurred. Just keep an open mind, and keep thinking, not about anything in particular, but just day dream, talk to yourself, plan the robbery of a bank, anything that is interesting to you and all it requires is you thinking. I've remembered dreams out of no where from this. It's also come to me out of the blue before, so don't worry, if your subconscious wants to remember that bad, you will be reminded.

Sounds good! I guess it would be useful having a small list of thigs yoy likely see in dreams. I have to get some more dreams into my journal to start looking for patterns, but maybe I could start with every dream I recall until now. Later, checking every item on the list may bring some memories back.
By now, I'm not waking up during the night to practice DEILD, but maybe I could start soon :D

      *Keep a dream journal!*

Writing your dreams down (or as much as you can remember) on a daily basis will dramatically increase dream recall, as well as lucidity, because you start to recognize your dream signs and triggers.

It's easier if you wake up multiple times during the night in my experience. I set my alarm 4.5 hours I fall asleep, 6 hours (for possible WBTB), 7.5 hours, and then the final wake up time (which hopefully is 8 hours or more ha). Sometimes you will be woken up from a dream by your alarm which makes it easier to remember... but it seems just in general I remember my dreams better this way. There were nights sleeping all the way that I would wake up anyway without alarms and remember dreams, but I would rarely remember any more than one (sometimes none) if I slept all the way through. Ever since I have been doing this I have been waking up often about 2.5-3.5 hours after going to sleep and remembering a dream (2nd REM cycle). For me it's like training the mind to wake up during REM sleep.

The best way to remember your dream is to right it down the moment you wake up (for this reason, keep a notebook and pen close to your bed). You see, in a minute after awakening you will most probably forget you dreams.

Yeah, even the people who have the best dream recall in the world have a notebook.

At mornings I have two alarms: first one shuts down after a minute automatically, so I don't have to move. Then, I start trying to remember, and ten minutes later is when the last allarm rings (I have to shut down this one myself). Right next to my bed I have a pen and my dream journal, where I'm trying to write everything I remember. Still, there are days when I cannot recall anything.

I gonna start practicing DEILD tonight, let's see the results.
And thanks for all the advices!
