Question Mind In Dreamland & False Awakenings?

I really do not know the best title to give this but I've have been meaning to ask about something. Lately, I have been waking up from dreams and my mind is still attached to the idea that I am dreaming. It's strange that I've been feeling like this and this feeling happens automatically.

Every little sound startles me as I begin to believe that something is about to fly through the walls of my house and appear, as such things are common in my dreams. But I never think about stuff like that throughout the day. There is also a weird luminous glow sometimes throughout my house in the few moments of awakening as if it's the same glow I encounter in dreams.

Not that I am frightened, I'm just curious as if there is some significance to this. I of course did my reality checks concluding that I was indeed awake.

Also, I never really paid attention to this but I can remember myself *visually* filling up ice cube trays and placing the nail pick for unlocking doors in various places, but of course no such things I have memories of doing actually happened in the waking world. I'm wondering if such things that occurred in my dreams but I treat them as if I actually done them in the waking state relates to false awakening.

Any ideas would be most appreciated~

If you just wake up and feel like you are stil in a dream, as I understood, it's not a false awakening, it's just that your brain is stil in the processing of waking up I guess.

False awakenings is when you think you are waking up, but actually you are dreaming about waking up, which doesn't sound like your story here.

I've had some dreams get cataloged as actual events before, usually something menial like you described. Also, it isn't uncommon to actually have hallucinations of things for a few seconds when you just wake up, sometimes they can be pretty vivid too.

Yeah, I recall one time I woke up starring at a nail on the wall, and I was 100% sure it was a little spider walking slowly, and not until I stood up I realized it was just a nail.
