Hello,
I hope that someone reading this will be able to provide some insight into my situation. Firstly, I have been lucid dreaming since childhood. Not as a practice, but it just occurred naturally while I was young. I have started getting back into it over the past few months.

I have been experimenting with supplements in addition to technique and diet, etc.
I tried Galantamine last night, the "holy grail" of lucid dream supplements.

I woke up after about 5 hours of sleep, and ingested 8mg of galantamine. I let myself fall back asleep because of reported difficulty doing so with this substance. While drifting off, I held in my mind the dream i had previously woken up from hoping to facilitate some sort of incubation...as it was one I really wanted to return to.

However, I woke up 3 hours after taking them, completely groggy and with no dreams to recall.

In fact, most instruct to take any supplements after several hours of sleep, for the deeper/longer REM stages. Even without supplements, just the WBTB techniques.
I seem to have my more vivid dreams during my first block of sleep in the night, rather than in the early morning like most people seem to.

I am curious if anyone else experiences this in general, and/or has had any similar experiences with the galantamine. Thank you in advance for any help!
