Every day, lucid day.

This happened to me 4 years ago. I had just completed High School and was preparing for university, instead of studying by myself I joined a coaching institute which specialized in short-term coaching for high competition entrance tests. They followed a strict schedule which means I only had 6 hours of sleep and the food also kinda sucked. We had our dinner by 8:30 pm followed by study sessions, after a couple of weeks I got so tired of these sessions that I just couldn't be focussed. After dinner, I was feeling sleepy every day so I started power napping after dinner for 10-15 mins.

The food that was served was spicy, so spicy that my hands used to burn( for those of you who are unaware, Indians eat with bare hands). So the only thing in running in my mind would be "Holy shit, today's curry was way more spicier than yesterday's, that means these guys make the tomato curry a lot more spicier than lady's finger etc...".

One of my friends had a crush on our classmate, he used to talk about her to me everyday about random stuff such as the color of her dress, her hairstyle, what is she doing etc..this dude was sitting beside me and kept talking about this sexiest girl who was just 2 desks across. Eventually even I got attracted to her and now both of us used to talk about her such as "she's so cute today, the black jeans make her look taller" or "I think orange is her favorite color because she has 2 orange bags, and an orange wrist watch, she wore orange dress on her birthday too". Got it yet? we were her fan boys.

I had this habit taught by my grandma of remembering the happy moments of the day before going to bed. So when I was power napping the few things on my mind were the curries, 1 or 2 memories of her(relatable, isn't it?) and other random happy moments throughout the day.

After 2 weeks of power napping, I once realized that I was able to recall the day, the curry that was served that day, the color of dress she wore on that particular day. I never consciously thought all of that at the same time. Back then I wasn't into lucid dreaming and stuff. What I understand now is that I used to WILD. I was fascinated on how my brain made these connections and stored the information in patterns. Apart from above-mentioned things I was also able to recall the discussion with my friends that we had during the dinner on the day the particular curry was served and also the discussion with my friend about the girl on the days when she wore that particular colored dress.

After spending 45 days at the coaching institute I wrote my exams and left the place. Now that the whole surrounding changed I wasn't able to replicate it on command at home on regular days. Back then I neither had a DJ nor did I remembered the dreams, I only realized it after 10-12 days. Our brains are so weird and powerful at the same time!
