Weird Dream Structures
Anyone else have dreams with odd structure to them?
Recently I had one where I understood the events I was seeing to be a movie I was watching, and every now and then the dream would "cut" to a scene of a critic discussing the scene or choices made in that scene, or an interview with an actor or writer discussing the scene or why they did what they did. The "movie" part of the dream ended on a cliffhanger, and then cut to a panel of the actors and director discussing where the sequel would be going.
It's one of the more interesting dream-structures I've had. Anyone else have interesting dream structures??

I commonly have the characters or the setting of the dream completely change, but I (in the dream) don't notice it and keep going along with the dream as if it was always like that. For example, I had a dream where I was doing something with a friend, but then the dream went 3rd person (I don't know when it happened) and there were two random dream characters in place of my friend and I, but they kept going with the storyline as if they were always a part of it.
I also had a person turn into a doll in a very long and detailed dream that I had. The person turning into a doll wasn't some kind of important plot point or anything, I didn't even notice it happened... until I woke up, of course. The doll had the same personality as the person.
I have also had a few of my dreams narrated by someone, which was interesting.

The idea of having the 'director' of a dream give their commentary on it as it unfolds sounds pretty cool to me.
My dreams tend to be structured sort of strangely, but it does vary. As an example, scenes are often cut together in strange ways and often feel as though they've been poorly stitched together. This kind of non-linear dream is hard for me to explain in writing, so this may help:
Ending of Scene 1 --> Middle of Scene 2 --> Beginning of Scene 1 --> Middle of Scene 4
That kind of disjointed structure isn't the only way I dream (though common) but it is probably my favourite so far. It took me a really long time to figure out exactly what was going on in these dreams and involved a lot of analysing dream journal entries.
I'm yet to have a dream narrated, it does sound cool though.
