Dream anxiety, Breast cancer dream?
Hello! I am new to this site so I apologize if I post this incorrectly. I recently had a dream that caused a lot of anxiety in me and I was wondering if someone could help?
A month ago I had a dream in the middle of the night, I was half asleep and half awake. In my dream I get a sharp pain on the side of my breast and I roll over and touch it, as I touch it I find a lump in my breast and I think to myself, could this be breast cancer? When I wake up I am feeling my breast and it hurts, I think nothing of it until the next morning... this happened a month ago and I am so anxious that my dream was trying to tell me I had or will have breast cancer! This caused me to have bad anxiety about my health for the past month and I really need to put my mind at rest... to make matters even worse I had to do a report on dreams warning of cancer AND young women getting breast cancer!!
Here are a few things that could have caused this dream:
- I have a small lump on my armpit after shaving wrong in the shower, I somewhat had that in my mind as I was feeling my breast in my dream. The area I was feeling was also very close to it.
-The pain in my breasts was defiantly caused by PMS, but it's never woken me up at night before...
- The day or two before this dream I found out my friends mom had breast cancer.
I am only 19, which is kind of silly to worry about this stuff at that age... I actually had a breast exam done recently and the doctor didn't find any lumps, but I've been having pains in my left breast and ribs, I feel like that might be caused by my anxiety and the fact that I keep touching my breast constantly just to check...
So my question is: Is my dream trying to warn me of something? Or was it a harmless dream caused by the factors above? Thank you for your response, I tend to overthink things like this and I just wanna make sure everything is okay!
