      Incubating a Recurring Non-lucid Dream

I want to incubate a recurring dream that is "scripted" in terms of characters, their interactions, my actions, the surroundings etc., but I don't want to be lucid. In other words, as I'm experiencing it I should believe that it's a new experience each time until I wake up.

Has this ever been done, and does anyone have ideas on how to go about it?
      Dreaming Goals:

I have thought about this before. To relive beautiful dreams from long ago.

I have considered just trying to memorize them the best I can while falling asleep.
Visualising the enviroments, characters, feelings and events.

Haven't given it more than 2 tries for some reason.
I should definitely keep trying. You reminded me of this. For that I thank you.

Some of my thoughts on this; dream incubation probably varies from person to person. Just because you script or plan an incubated dream doesn't necessarily mean you'll become aware anyway, unless you're likely to gain awareness easily or on accident anyway.

Personally, I have often tried writing stories and lore for dream-worlds but no matter how much I write and read them or if I obsess over them or not, they never really seem to bleed through into the dream world as desired for me, not sure why.

Either way, I would think that it's possible, and if you are good at getting incubation to work, then the key thing you might want to focus on could be intention, to dream them the way you want to dream them, i.e. non-lucid, in this case.

That makes sense, I'll definitely give this a shot.

Good points Darkest. I have the same problem and only unintentionally have thoughts/themes/"day residue" bleed into my dreams. The only exception is when I have a specific goal that I want to accomplish, say shooting lightning from my hands, which I achieved the same night I thought of it. However when it comes to setting an intention for an entire scenario, that has never worked for me.

The idea of using intention to ensure non-lucidity is very interesting, I'll have to think about that. I haven't been lucid a lot lately anyway due to little sleep, but this morning I had a long string of lucid dreams that I sort of forced to follow a semi- or non-lucid plot. I was searching for a DC I met named Mary, and in this process I stumbled through probably 8 or 9 dreams in a row. In the act of searching for her I sort of felt myself refuse/deny the lucidity that came at the beginning of each dream -- not the clear-headedness, but simply the awareness of the dream state -- in favor of forwarding the dream plot. I wonder if this was close to what you were describing. By the end of the chain, I found her doppelganger and then adopting some kittens lol.
