      Pure Consciousness/Dreamless State

Does anybody know anything about dreamless lucidity?

I lucid dream every night, but I’m starting to also get a dreamless state of pure consciousness.

In these states, I don’t experience any of my senses at all, not internal or external. There’s no void. No visuals at all (imagined or real), sound, touch, etc. is completely absent, but I’m aware that I’m experiencing nothing.

      Does anyone else experience this?

yep, this can also be attained by meditating in the dream, at least from my experience we can try to discuss the meaning or the aspects of this state although it may become a very long thread. One thing im sure of is that you can create a new dream scene from there, so it shouldnt be a problem if you want to do "usual" lucid dreaming things

Does a "regular" dream-state precede these dreamless states, or are they isolated from other dreaming experiences in some way? I am curious if what thel suggests holds true for you, and if a regular dream-state can follow on directly from this.

Although everyone's baselines for this type of thing/experience seem to be different, if you dream lucidly every night, I would wager you already have more mileage than most of us... And I don't really want to make assumptions without knowing a comparable state myself.

So, when you say you don't experience senses when this happens; do you still experience emotion and are you able to have intents or is it like what I can only think of describing as a completely neutral state? I am just trying to understand what consciousness means or implies for you, under the circumstances described.

What kind of meditation would you use for this?
And you’re right, I experimented with it and created an imagined visual when I was in it. This broke the state of nothingness, though, since a visual is something. But yeah that’s totally possible.

I’m certainly not worried about it. it’s not causing any trouble, was just curious. Never had that before.

Yeah I’ve been having these after dreams, before waking up. there’s not really any thought or emotion. It’s pure nothingness, both in imagined senses, and in thoughts.

I can exit this either by going into dream or waking up. Then everything comes back on.

I’ve experienced some forms of void before, where there’s a blackness, or some sort of imagery or feeling. But never absolute nothing.

This state you're referring to is known as slow-wave sleep, which is also known as delta sleep or stage 3 NREM sleep.
