REM Poetry: Have dreams inspired you to write poetry?

I have never created poems about altered states of consciousness, only prose and some art. This is as close I've got to it actually ... I once woke up from REM sleep and found myself getting poetic when recording a particular dream with anomalous identification and unusual action and setting:

BRUCE LEE, FIGHTING SAILOR

I'm Bruce Lee
Fighting at sea
A really good fighter like me
Will have to be my adversary
Turbulent seawaves
Stormy weather
Boats and rafts
Martial arts and sailing crafts
Being crafty
Fighting relentlessly
