Blinking reverse

Do you need to be sleepy to do reverse blinking?

I've been out of the loop in this website for years. What the heck is reverse blinking?

I'm pretty sure it's this thing where you have your eyes closed and occasionaly open them for just a second, like a blink but open instead of closed.
