I have made a mistake of leaving my old friends for new friends. First, it starts off the 4 of us in 9th grade. We were very best buddies, we went to each other houses and watch movies and mess around, we went to parks, movie theaters, and hang out at school together. Then i got jealous of one of my friend because they were getting close to my ex girlfriend, and i wanted my friend to stay single so we can still be close buddies.

Then one day i got mad at him and i stopped talking to him, i just ignord him and payed attention to my other two friends. Then the 4 of us split up, because of me. I stopped hanging around with my 4 friends because that certain friend was there and i was mad at him. and jealous. So i found myself new friends and i hang out with them, but they weren't really my true friends cause they did not care if i was there or not. Two of my old friends started to ignore me and hung out in a big group of friends, about 20 people or more.

I still got my other best friend, he was trying to get the big group to like him. Now this year, he succeeded and i have no more friends..none of them have respect for me anymore and when i look back at how much fun we had its just depressing because everything changed. They have found new friends. I want to go in a dream and make the dream last for about 1 year and just re-live my whole past events again starting with the homecoming dance.

sorry for my long life's story, i felt i needed to let it out because i've been keeping this bottled up inside for a long time.

So my question is, is it possible to extend time in your dreams to maybe about 1 year? If so, how? And is it possible to re-live your past events or re-live your memories? Again, if so, then how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should clear up your real life problems rather then just try to mask them in your dreams.

The fact is, you'll probably never be friends with those people again. You should go find new friends in real life to hang out with and get over your past mistakes.

Reliving your experiences in a dream isn't going to help you.

      anyway on to your questions:

It may be possible to extend time in dreams to that point (its never been proven, but there have been a few people that claimed to be able to be able to spend vast amounts of time like that in a dream)

Yes you can re-live your past memories. (I don't know about a whole year of memories though, my guess would be no)

Overall I say you should clear up your real life problems instead of trying to run away from them via LDing. (then come back to the forum and learn to lucid dream once your in a state of happiness with life.)
Lucid dreaming should be used only to complement your life... not escape it.

Hi, maybe I will be little bit offtopic.

I had a problem in my life. I was discriminated for almost everything (the look, way of thinking, being the best). As I'm capable of doing many things with my dreams from my early childhood I chose to run away to my dreams whenever I felt really bad about what happened. I can spent months even years in one dream. But sometimes several days is ok for running away. (i can always "save my position" and continue next day - not really always ...but it usually works)

It has one consequence. whenever I ran away like this I ran away to the actual world but I behaved in a different way and I made my life more happier than it was in reality.

the problem was that now I've got false memories of my childhood. these dreams are like reality for me and from time to time I take them as reality. I don't know what was real...was this my dream or it was just one of my induced dreams? Knowing this and not being able to decide which reality is real made me more anxious about me than everything people hated me for.

      anyway for your question.
whatever people say..it is possible to live a life in your dream. but I don't really know how I do it.
one thing is sure, all my dreams (LDs) I spent controlling everything for a really long time (months, years) are "induced".
With induced I mean...I lay down and I start creating the setting in which I want to wake up. than I visualize myself in the world. when I see me I get my consciousness in that body and than I do something to get myself asleep and getting LD.

(in my case it means suiciding myself (seppuku to be more precise), or hurting my belly so that I end up unconscious because of that injury. pls don't ask me why. but anyway it's something like my dream sign and it always works. after this I wake up in the world I created)

another thing. those long dreams are always under full control (controlling the setting, other characters in the dream and myself. that also means thinking for everyone which is quite difficult). when I wake up after such a dream I'm usually overwhelmed with what happened in the dream and it takes me several hours to really grasp it.
usually my LD ends when I'm more aged (than now). I have a family, kids, I live elsewhere etc. when I wake up I'm back in reality, young and with my family. this is difficult to overcome. it seems like starting over your life.

anyway do as you wish. if you manage to relive your life or this period of life, you are the one who will bear the consequences. for me it was difficult to deal with. reality would be easier for me because it was one REAL reality. and with past you should never deal. your life continues and your future actions or actions now will change it.

LDing is nice, but not for solving your problems I think (I mean psychological problems or dealings with the past)

excuse me for such a long post.

For me, dreams (particularly LDs) are my life, and being awake is just that annoying bit inbetween. But thats because i have problems IRL that cannot be resolved.

It sucks to lose friends, but if they abandoned you as you describe then perhaps they weren't the best people to have around anyway. They would most likely have only disappointed you in the future.

From your post i assume you are in yr 10. You'll find new people to hang out with. And anyway, sometimes being alone can be beneficial in ways you would never expect.

      Peace.

Find people like you and make new friends running to dreams is no way to solve rl problems,
sure you made some mistakes but if these people where truly best friends with you they would never ever abandon you thats just how it is.

I'm sure you would be able to find new friends

While I do not condone escaping into your dreams, there is no reason why you should not be able to think things out in your dreams, and have a nice, long "intermission" from reality.

One thing I've never done, but this should work, is when you get a lucid dream, shout out a command. These commands usually work, and you can kinda control your dreams this way. So, in your case, you could try shouting "MAKE TIME SLOWER" or "MAKE THIS DREAM LAST LONGER" and you probably will be able to extend the duration of your dream.
