In the last few weeks I have been having very interesting dreams. What happens is, when I fall asleep - my dreams continue as if I was awake. Allow me to give an example: One time, I fell asleep on the couch - but I was planning on doing some work. So, in my dream I got up from my chair, went upstairs, put on the TV - got my materials sorted etcetera. I did exactly what I would have done if I was awake, only I was sleeping. Almost all of my dreams seem to follow the explanation I have just given. Even once, the doorbell rang (in reality).. and I heard it in my dreams (I was asleep on a chair again), even though someone else answered it - in my dream, their where no glitches, and the voices from reality fitted the humans in my dream. It was like a mirror image I suppose. Just like when music, or the TV, or a dog barking would not seem unusual to hear in your dreams. I know this because when I woke up, the person was still speaking at the door. I'm also certain I was asleep and not just drowsy.
Any thoughts? It's getting very regular.

Ive had dreams like that before, only a few.
As for the one were you could hear the doorbell and the people talking, maybe it was a vary light sleep, and you were partially concious.

I agree with you on the last point. That was my conclusion. The thing is, my standard lucid dreams are being replaced by these... That's how common they are appearing.

I have dreams like the second part all the time. I usually fall asleep on the couch with the T.V on, and the dream has characters from the voices I heard. Its pretty annoying when something sexy is going on, and freaking spongebob or something pops up -.-

I think I just woke up from one of these. I laid down around 5pm, and fell right asleep. I'm not sure if I had an actual dream or not, but I ultimately had a false awakening. I could hear the tv on downstairs (which I left on before lying down), which was probably just being relayed from the real world into my dream world. I'm not sure what it was, but something made me think I was dreaming, so I did a RC by successfully pushing my finger through my hand. I became excited that I had caught a false awakening, went through hypnogogia (specifically vibrations), and woke up.
