Well, I am doing a project on dreams. This is for my psychology class. So far I have come up with these questions:
Why do we need sleep?
Can sleep be used as a psychological tool?
What are the effects of sleep loss?
How can drugs affect sleep?
What do our dreams really mean?
I need some more though.. Not sure what else to add.
Also, I need to conduct my own primary research for this.. I'm not so sure how I am going to go about doing that because dreams are pretty personal. I was thinking of getting a group of people and having them do various skill tests like sudoku, puzzles etc and time them. Then slowly cut back the amount of sleep they get and retest them and see how their skills are...
ANY ideas or imput would be awesome.

Other than being aware, the only real difference between dream lucidity and non-lucidity
is you that you realize there is another reality other than the one you are experiencing,
not only that you realize that the other reality is the more important reality, and relatively,
the dream is brief and technically insignificant.
No way of knowing for sure, but I always wonder if thats not the ultimate lesson dreaming
is teaching us.

i like the puzzle idea, but you would have to make sure they are REALLY tired first. other tests that involved DREAMING would take time, so different experiments can be done if you have weeks to complete this. If you DO have weeks, find a few people and have them all record dream journals and try to find their dream sign. you can work lucidity into your project too because there is a ton of information here...but I doubt you could teach people lucidity unless you had at least months :P
