      Strange dream pheonomenom

Whist having dreams i often focus my eyes off the dream. the dream will then go flat and blurry. I then notice a circular spinning motion. It happens quite regually, and seems to take me out of my dream. I am instead focusing on the visual field rather than being part of a dream. I sometimes see colourful patterns but it always appears flat / out of focus / unintersting. I then tend to drift back into a dream or awaken. Its something I seem to do consiously / automatically.

When I awake i often see a black dot with spinning surrounding it, which drifts away within 30 seconds or a minute.

In my waking life I have in the past tried meditation and at one time would quite often focus on a black dot, however now it appears during my sleep as I look for it, as I did in the past in my waking life.

I was just wondering whether anyone had any similar experiences, im not really sure what effect it has on my sleep.

I have seen moving lights before I sleep.

So have I. Wonder if it's to do with eye muscles somehow.

I can be the mind winding down and agitation of the nerves being released.

Yeah, yeah, it happens to me when I rub my eyes from after a dream. It most likely has to do with the eye muscles being agitated after rapid eye movement.

Does your vision get all purple-electricish? If so, it happens to me after some nights of sleep when trying to get breakfast. The black dot thing is like a black circle with a green/purple/red light surrounding it to me. It does nothing but block my vision temporarily.
