Can your brain "crash" in a dream(LD included?

      Hey,
Part of me says that just like a computer, your brain can only come up with so much information. Beyond that, things might get weird-and somehow "crash" like a computer would.

I'll add that I've only had two short LDs...But I have heard from people that they can get extremely vivid, even moreso than real life(maybe similar to smoking pot or something?)

Anyway, so my question is this: does the brain have a certain level of complexity it can't surpass in dreams/LDs? Has anyone had any experiences with the brain "crashing" because the situation was too complex/complicated?

It sounds like the one LD I've experienced. The scene for the dream had been created and I started to explore in it. When I got only a few steps, it was like my brain could not handle the load of creating the world I was in while I was aware it was not real. It faded, but I was able to bring it back by picturing the start again. I got a few steps further and it faded again. I thought myself back to start, it came back. I got a little further still, and it was gone for the night. Haven't had an LD since.

It does seem to me like my brain was struggling to create the world and each time I went back to the start, it had a little more time to create a bit more of the dream world. I was thinking about it recently and described it to myself as though my brain, like a computer, crashed on me durring that LD.

I would also like to read some thoughts on this from other people.
All is not what it seems in your dreams.
