I've always heard it was impossible, that you would not feel pain in dreams. |

Pain in dreams is common. It's an incredible aspect of dreaming, especially when you dream of, say, getting your leg torn off, and your leg hurts for a few moments after waking up. |

I have a recurring thing that happens in my dreams, my teeth fall out! It hurts like hell and I never know I am dreaming until 3-4 of my teeth fall out, convincing me it can't be real. It's quite scary and the pain feels very real. |
|
For me it does happen, but it's different from when I'm awake. It's generally less sharp in dreams. And it's also relatively rare. I practically never itch or feel sudden small twinges of discomfort in dreams. A specific traumatic event (in recent dreams, being bitten by a huge-mouthed fish in a nonlucid or punched in the nose in a lucid) has to trigger the pain, otherwise my dream mind doesn't "know" to feel it. |

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.
Pain in dreams is really just the manifestation of your memories of previously experienced dreams. Most likely, thse are pains that have caused a significant vivid memory in your real episodic memory. Thus, they are important to you and you may even have an aversion to this type of pain. |

I too experience pain, but luckily I rarely get hurt in dreams. |

I experience pain in my dreams now and then, but as previously described, it feels duller and hurts less, in a way. However, last month, it was that time of the month... and I was out of painkillers. I managed to fall asleep while in quite strong and sharp pain, and it felt just the same in my dream! It was a lucid dream, and all I did was to beg random DCs for painkillers, not caring that dream painkillers do not cure real pain. |

One rather isolated lucid I had a few nights back, I tried to fly through a wall, but crashed into it face first, instead. It hurt, but only for about half a second; it felt rather like someone punched me in the face. |

Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience.
It isn't more complicated that that.
It is opening to or recieving the present moment, pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.
Sylvia Boorstein
One of my more common pains in dreams is when I get persecuted by someone who wants to inject me something, the worst thing is that he or she always ends up injecting me in the worst places, such as my neck, it really hurts, this dream may be caused because I have a phobia for injections. |

Hmm, I don't think I can remember every having any real pain in my dreams.. |
|
Yes I feel pain in dreams too at times so it is real alright, but it is not as intense as pain is in reality. |
