      Self Generated Hallucination

I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct forum to put this question in, but here goes.

Is it possible to self generate a hallucination via meditation or even just imagination / mind power? I've read about sensory deprivation, but it's not something that I consider easy to do. [EDIT] Not that I'm necessarily looking for something easy to do, but most things about sensory deprivation involve an isolation tank, and stuff that's weird like sleep deprivation, temporary starvation, stuff like that so...yeah..

My friend says that he's meditated before and opened his eyes and could see through a wall.

I've wondered this before as well. When i was younger i used to think that it was possible to change the way my surroundings look if I just concentrated or practiced long enough. I thought since people could have hallucinaitons on drugs and stuff, why can't people hone into thier brains and have hallucinations without drugs? But as i got older...
Dreaming is forgetting the basis of reality, remembering it is to be lucid.

I've looked up on this and there isn't a right lot about it on the internets .

It is something I would love to do, but I SUCK at even WILDing so meditation is practically out of the question. I stayed awake just about all last night (not for this purpose, my brain is just gay) and so far I've hallucinated my door opening and mistook my pencil sharpner for a chocolate bar. They were only "corner of the eye" things but the door opening was as freaky as!

I would be content with my life if I could induce hallucinations. If you are good at LDing do you reckon you can control trips?

I only has access to cannabis, would that help because if you're REALLY stoned people say you can hallucinate?

OK getting off topic but still controlling trips would be almost the same, can advanced luciders do this?

Yes, I have done it before. If you are in the right state of mind (especially if you feel faint) then it can happen extremely vividly.

Absolutely, say you've taken LSD in a room before. If you concentrate you can retrace your memory and remember what it feels like to trip enough to convince yourself you're currently in that state. If you haven't taken hallucinogens and you want to try this... you might need a very large imagination.
The journey is usually more rewarding than reaching the destination.

I think just a lot of focus and a strong imagination will do it. When i was younger, and I lay awake in the early mornings I would have just enough faint light to make out the toys on my dresser.

Since I was bored I would focus on some of the figures and make them move. Surely enough the heads moved and so did the arms. Although not a full, natural motion; more like an illusion, or hallucination for that matter.

      So you need three ingredients:

      1. Early Morning consciousness
      2. Concentration
      3. Pure innocence

This is something I've always been interested in. I find that if you keep your eyes closed (perhaps a little tighter than normal, but not necessarily), and concentrate on the little blobs of color you see appearing and disappearing, then try to picture something vividly, you'll start to see the shape of the thing you're imagining. Unfortunately, that's as far as I ever got.

I'm thinking this is a potentially good research team thread.
