It shouldn't. Unless the cat is moving around a bunch, it might as well just be a heavy blanket.
Yeah, exactly. In my case though, I'm quite allergic to my cat... so him sleeping in my bed basically ruins my night entirely, but meh. :P
Well I've found it can affect the way you feel when you go to sleep, which has a direct effect on dreams.
I don't think it would. I don't have any pets that sleep with me though.
My first ever lucid was when I was sleeping with my dog beside me. I guess they have even just a slight effect on dreams (you might even dream mutually :)). And as what Barns said, it affects the way you feel, thus affecting your dream. And based on researches, pets are a "good stress-reliever"
In my experience, not really.
My cats affect my lucid dreams when they walk on my face in the morning. :P
LOL. I forgot about the cat. We mostly have to shut our cat of bedroom since she is super annoying. Even then she will bang on the door and be vocal, which is nothing new, she never shuts up. I mostly am a very deep sleeper, but she does bother husband. And if she is in the room with us she will wake us up at ungodly hours of the night demanding to be fed or played with or just to wake you up b/c she is bored, and no, she is not a kitten, just super active, talkative, and demanding.
If I fall to sleep on the couch with the dogs then sometimes she is okay, but she can't stay sleep an entire night, too much on her agenda...
