I used to dream a lot and remember all of them but over the last few years it seems I'm remembering my dreams less and less. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might be causing this or how to remedy the situation. If you need more info feel free to ask I'm pretty much open about whats happening in my life.
For how long have you stopped remembering them?
My recalls been getting worse and worse for the past 3 years but in the past 2 months completely just vanished pretty much.
how much sleep do you get? Its much easier to recall your dreams if you get a good share of sleep as you will be more likely to wake up in a REM period of sleep. Try to check that, its harder to remember your dream if you rely on a alarm clock to wake up
Also, if you haven't tried keeping a dream journal yet, you should give it a go. It does wonders for improving dream recall.
I have completely stopped having lucid dreams. I used to have them when I was 10-14 and they happened fairly often. Especially around age 10. I had to develop a technique in order to escape them. Which involved blunking in order to wake up. :p

Prolonged use of it also can probably leave an impression on your dreams for a while, but not for too long.
Anyway, one way to combat it is really to spend some time reading about dreams and posting on forums like this one, it gets your mind back on that train of thought, and it has certainly helped me a lot with recall. There are also many foods that will help greatly with dream recall (dark chocolate before bed, doesn't have to be a whole lot, but at least one serving of it).
Hope this helps in any way, there are probably many more reasons for diminishing recall that I have not listed, these are all just personal ones.

Thanks for all the advise I'll definitely try the chocolate thing and I'll try starting a dream journal as everyone seems to say that helps. Thanks everyone I'll let you all know about the wonderful lucid dreams I've been having thanks to you guys after I get in a routine ;)
