      Does the moon affect dreams?

It's an old story I hear everywhere. "I had a crazy dream last night! It must of been because of the full moon."

My mom says it all the time, she says when theres a full moon, she has dreams of her deceased mother.

I think this has to do with old myths. The greeks believed that the moon could cause tempoary insanity. Words such as "lunatic" or "looney" originated from the Roman god Luna (greeek name being Selene).

I don't think its a myth. I would think the moon could easily affect dreams. I notice how I feel different at different times of the year or different and I believe it could be due to planet alignment or astrology. No I'm not an astrologist, I just think anythings possible. Even if us humans haven't quite figured it all out yet.
Maybe you could look at your dream journal and tie the dates you had lucid dreams/frequency of dreams to certain times of the month or year?

I would but I have like 10 entries, and my entries are just lists mostly, so it's hardly a page.

Evidence is very inconclusive as to whether behavior is affected by the full moon. And if behaviour isn't affected, then I doubt dreams are.

Ask anyone who works in a hospital about full moons. Apparently, they get really busy on full moons, with lots of crazies.

Apparently, there are more births on a full moon.

Though, I never took much notice as to weird dreams I've had when a full moon was around. so, I believe it would be a no.
