      Car Park?

      Hi there,

About me. I'm 38. I have one baby girl, and my wife has given up work for a few years to do the stay-at-home-Mom thing. My mum is elderly and widowed. I have one brother and one sister.

I have recently started a recurring dream, with some variations.

In general, I am in a dark and somewhat threatening multistorey car park. I am trying to return to my car, but I can't find it. This is the common theme. There are individual variations whenever I have the dream.

Sometimes there are family members / inlaws with me in a rush as I try to find the car. Sometimes, they're in the car waiting for my return, possibly needing to get home for medicine.

The car park is always claustrophobic and threatening, sometimes it appears to change as I try to find my way through it. Sometimes there are hoods hanging around the machine where I pay for the parking.

That's as much as I can thnk of. I've never asked for a dream interpretation before, but I can't remember ever having a recurring dream before either. So very interested in any comments.

      Thanks

Are you the only driver in your immediate family?
This dream makes me think of responsibility, because you're trying to find your car and you're probably scared of mucking up badly at a critical moment like forgetting where your car is when you really need it (because you have to take family members home for medicine).
In the dream it seems like you're worried something will happen to you, but you can't let that happen because there are people relying on you.

If you're busy at work or you feel like you're neglecting parts of your family / extended family, maybe your conscience is having a go at you.

That's all the suggestions I can think of right now, but like most people on this forum will say, only you can find out the true meanings behind your dreams.

      Thanks for the comments, Delilah.

I'm not the only driver, no. It might be that I'm the only earner, but I thought I had come to terms with that. I was somewhat scared about that to start with - and it ties in with the worried about wht might happen / people depending on me etc.

I don't think I'm neglecting family for work, I've even started cutting back a little. But in 16 months of parenthood, I've only ever missed 3 bed times. So I'm not doing too bad.

Thanks for the comments. I'll see if the dream continues!

I think it's about responsibility and stress. Like you feel that everyone is counting on you, and perhaps deep down inside it's frightening you.

      Goodluck
