      Dreaming without sleeping???

When I'm really tired and close my eyes for about 10 seconds I can see dream-scenes and hear various people say random things, just like in a dream; only I'm not asleep!
      How cool is that?
      Current projects:
      -Acquire the Aurora
      -Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active

That's what's known as hypnagogic hallucination.

Nope, it's normal. Search the forums or check this out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia

I think it is a little unusual that it happens to you that quickly.

I like it because it's sooo random.
Sometimes the voices are having a conversation, and suddenly I think "Huh?? Was I just thinking that?" But of course it wasn't real.

I get that all the time, the sounds I hear are from people I know, and the imagery only happens if I had been playing a computer game for at least 3 hours before bed. If so, then it is just constant flickering of images of that computer game until I fall asleep. It's weird, but it is perfectly normal.

      Answer: Neither, single-celled organisms did.

      It's pretty cool
Wow, I'm new to this but i knew abouts lucid dreams before...

This happens to me almost every night before I go to bed.

The funny thing I find about it is- Even if they're saying something that makes no sense, e.g. "Did that cowboy just slay my muffin?" They make perfect sense to me at the time. When I think about it, I don't get it.

      Anyone else like this?

Could it also be a daydream?

This happens to me if I stay up over 24 hours straight, but I rarely do that.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

Yeah, I thought that too. It usually takes me at least 20 minutes to get to any HI.

This happens to me every night and I was wondering what it was.

Last night I was watching a scene of my girlfriend's dad up in a tree house waving a gun around. Then it went to a still image of a cartoon duck just before a loud static hiss noise and it went black as I was staring at the back of my eyelids again. Kind of like a weird nonsensical television shorting out, it startled me for a second.

I can't visualize anything consciously without being asleep

I've done it once or twice.

I once had one of these where I was riding a bike, riding, riding, going really fast, then I hit something on the ground and flew forward. As my face is about to hit the pavement I jump up out of bed. I was fine, just with the shit scared out of me.
