I've been wanting to know why most of my dreams occur at nighttime IN MY DREAM. It happens to me quite often. |

Why would you suspect that this is spam? This topic is also for non-lucid questions and other things, so I see no reason why this would be spam. Also, I remembered it during REM when I woke up shortly after, because I was going to do multiple recalls, but failed to do so. |

It has to do with ambient light levels. There are all sorts of ways external stimuli get passed into your dreams, and this is one example. |

Ah, thank you. Thats a reply I've been waiting for. |

Really now, let's ease up on the trollishness, Lennox. Anywho. I never really thought about ambient light levels and all that, definitely an interesting point though. Generally the dreams I have at night tend to be (as I interpret them anyway) about situations that are confusing or frightening in real life, so the way I see it the dark setting serves to extend that sort of feeling, if that makes sense. It could mean something else entirely to you, though. Are there any patterns to what the dreams are about? If you find any, that might help you to interpret the nighttime setting. |

Just to add further evidence to the ambient light levels theory, just last night I had a series of false awakenings at a very unusual time for me, which was about 4 am. But when I dreamt I woke up it was still night in my room. |

Hehe, yeah, I can see how that can be misinterpreted XD |
