I think I'm slowly losing my mind

So the other night I come home after 6 hours of school, another 6 of work and am downright exhausted. Its already after 1:00am, so I immediately hit the pillow. I, for once, fall asleep almost instantly and I had a dream I will never forget.

Upon falling asleep, I see a character standing there, looks very cartoony or computer generated. Looks kinda like a Mario or Luigi. He stands there and stares straight faced, view focused straight on him. After almost a minute of complete silence and straight faced staring, the character's eyes widen to the extreme, he spins around dozens of times rapidly, shouts. "WHOOOOOO!" and flies straight up into the air leaving a coud of smoke on the ground.

I woke up, and saw that a good 11 hours had passed.

Hm. A stare-down with Super Mario? LOL. Sounds like a tired-dream. When I was a teen, I was involved in music, theater, track-and-field and debate all at once (at some point). I remember being so wiped-out during that time that I'd have dreams where I'd be sitting on a hill in a meadow for what seemed like 5 minutes, only to wake-up and realize that I had been out for hours (and it was likely time to get-up for school). Maybe that's why your dream was so weird...?

And the only thing I can think of to say is - have you been playing video games lately or being around someone who has?

I wonder if the peaceful dreams that take forever are some sort of way of healing the mind after it's exhausted. Sort of like creating a small reality bubble for it to not have to do much but sit slowly, hence why the hours fly.
