Golden Ratio Fractal Patterns

Dexter's most recent vivid and remembered dream involved a very interesting phenomena: Golden Ratio Fractal Patterns.

He was on the spaceship Voyager (Yes, Dexter is something of a Trekkie!) working at the bridge's navigation control when the ship received an order to investigate an unknown phenomena. Upon encountering this phenomena (which was never identified) the Ship went through it as if it were some transdimensional conduit and zipped away in a flash of light but at a strange angle that seemed obtuse to the direction the ship approached it from. It was a sudden encounter as if it were something they hadn't expected to do and we found ourselves in a gray space. It wasn't quite nothing but there wasn't anything there either. Their sensors quickly picked up another ship in the vicinity. It was the spaceship voyager but it was a little smaller than their own. Then another...and another. They kept picking up new voyagers, including copies of the crew and all that were progressively smaller versions appearing in a sort of strange spiral format. When Dexter received an order he went to carry it out but found that they no longer recognized his presence. The scanners had picked up a crash between two of the other vessels. Dexter isn't really sure how it all went down but he does remember following Janeway around the bridge talking to people trying to figure out what was going on and reading displays. He was wishing he could communicate with them but had already become aware that that couldn't recognize him. Furthermore he had become aware of why. On one of the ship that crashed into the other he had died. He began to deduce what was occurring. Wherever they were, it was a strange nexus among parallel universes. where multiple versions of the voyager space craft were entering the nexus. In each alternate time line it had taken Voyager progressively longer, for various reasons, to enter the transdimensional conduit. Somehow each parallel universe that occurred was somehow slightly smaller than, or less than, the original. Dexter was also aware that the ships were appearing in a conical spiral following the patterning of the golden ratio.

Golden Ratio Fractal Patterns, Multiple dimensions, parallel universes and the like have always interested Dexter and been a subject of great interest to him. Recently he had been studying them in conjunction with quantum physics and mystical concepts. This idea he has that all of existence is in fact one great fractal pattern. Including human consciousness to which this would mean that human consciousness is possessive of control over the entire universe in some fashion. Moreover Dexter has had fractal experiences in conjunction with his entheogenic insights. Though they were not recognized as such to begin with...a pattern is beginning to emerge for him. Many LSD and psychedelic users also report vague to concrete fractal experiences of a kind. This being one of the reasons Tye Dye T-shits were popular in the 60's & 70's among hippies & LSD users.

Has anyone else had fractal experiences? Dexter was considering adopting the fractal as his LD cue since he has yet to adopt one and it is vague and yet equanimous to be perceived in a multitude of formats within and story.

Furthermore, If Dexter's theory about Human consciousness being the greatest power in the universe is correct, then he thinks the fractal as an LD cue might stimulate latent consciousness abilities within his mind.

I see fractals. They are everywhere. They walk around like regular patterns...

Have you ever seen the movie "The number 23"? This thread reminds me: we can find meaning anywhere if we look for it. But really, what are the implications of the golden ratio? Just because it appears often doesn't make it some sort of absolute truth.

Dexter agrees that an absolute truth can not be named. Dexter thinks this GRF and awareness of it liken to a spiritual leader in the old bhuddist metaphor:

"A spiritual leader is like a finger pointing toward the moon, you can't see the moon if you are looking at the finger"

Dexter believes that the GRF is indicative of something spiritual but also agrees that one should be wary not to fall into ego traps and make a religion of it.

A chinese comedian remarked that in a book of three thousand words Lao Tzu also said:

"He who speaks does not know, he who knows does not speak"

Dexter writes a lot. Dexter realizes this means he doesn't know shit. Unknowing is the only way to know as lao tzu said.

Like....there is this fractal pattern that infinately repeats itself right....but it is the same backwards and forwards too. Like time. I went into that in another post.

Things are true...but in that state of being 'are' that are also not true. Thanatos complex to the creative. Duality. Yin Yang.

But trying to stay on topic, how many people witness this GRF in their dreams?

I read over my dream journal today, and found an interesting fractal occurrence. I was on a quest to free a city from a spell. It spanned many dreams, and I knew that to lift the curse, I needed to find a special stone. I found that stone as the centerpiece to a shirt with fractals on it. Mandelbrot set.

I like fractals. They are pretty. <3

But I do like how fractals describe certain things. It gives order to the fluffy, chaotic shape of clouds. But I don't really think fractals go beyond anything. A fractal, like a color or weight, is just another way to describe what already exists.

Dexter thinks understanding the nature of fractal patterns, GRF, & Sacred Geometry (Which are all pretty much synonymous) Can help him decode the rest of the matrix (METAPHOR).

I think a key factor to your dream is a fact that each ship is smaller than the last. If you try to basically try to understand what a smaller version of yourself means you will find that it is a thought of yours. Think about it like this, picture yourself. by picturing your self your firing a connection of visual neurons in your brain and creating an image of yourself. The thing is that we think its this version of ourselves is "fake" because its an image we thought up in side our brains. But who is to say we are not simply a dc inside some body elses head? (Yea id say our visible universe means that other person head is huge, but because the universe is infinite huge means nothing) There is essentially a possibility that the act of creating an image in your brain actually recreates yourself, on a much smaller scale. On a smaller scale the force of gravity would be greater exponentially greater which means the timespan of your life would go by exponteially quicker, mabye so quick that you could live and die with in the blink of your own eye. People will try to argue and say that its just a connection of neurons in your brain, but they dont know what the fuck neurons really are(they could be suns, they could be galaxies, they could be stands of time) and neither do I.
So two ships crashing could be seen like conflicting thoughts and/or conflicting ideas of yourself? I know the golden ratio plays a role in this equation also, but im not sure how. maby theres a single confliction with in fractal patterns, GRF, & Sacred Geometry, probably not. 1.618 x 1.618=1.618+1
