I'm about to try out the program, and even before I do I have to say thank you very, very much for going out and doing this for all of us. I love the idea of it formatting everything for use on DV also. It's really kind of you to do this, and I'll definitely try out the program and tell you how it works after using it for a couple days.

EDIT: In your previous post you said it should run on Macs, Windows, and Linux, but I can't find a way to run it on my Mac. I downloaded Mono, but the program only comes up as an ".exe" file (like you said), which as far as I know can't be opened on a Mac. All that opens is TextEdit. Also, change your thread title to something that says that it is a dream journal program. I can't believe this only has thirty views; you need to make it seen!

Thank you! This is a really good Dream Journal program, very simple to use. My most favorite part of this program is the password protection. Thanks again.

Also to those worried about downloading, scanned the file no virus to be found.

      This is great.

Thanks for the tips. I almost got it. It didn't work with the file in the text form, but I was able to open the dream journal saved as ".pkg" or ".app" but unfortunately Mono "unexpectedly quits" every time after three or so seconds. I was able to click the different tabs for just a moment there as well. Well, I'll try this on a Windows computer later today, and see if I can find a way to get it to work on a Mac by a combination of luck and trial and error (I know next to nothing of this stuff!)

Little edit: I did get it to work in the ".exe" form this time, but much shorter than both ".pkg" or ".app"

Really cool program, I noticed a bug, reported it and it was fixed only few hours after (tho I'm probably not the only one who reported it).

One small thing, it'd be nice if the windows weren't fixed, I can't resize them to be wider.

can you make it so that you can sort the tags/characters/places by their frequency of occurance in the dreams?

Very nice job man, you fixed it right up. Works on my Mac now (but it didn't say there were any updates, even on the first one I installed). Here's what I got in the test (I'm curious as to how it looks on Dream Views):

      ...

Didn't work. Seems copy and paste can't function or something. Oh well; most people have Windows anyway (don't stress yourself fixing it just for Mac users). Other than that, it's a nice, simple program that's self explanatory and easy to use. It's good for those that are too lazy to format their own online dream journals! A few things I suggest you add on as time goes by:

~Ability to bold, italicize, and choose what color you want your nonlucid and lucid dreams to appear in. Also ability to center/right align text.
~Ability to resize the window (it's a bit small).
~A print function (if you can do that).

But anyway, I don't want too sound over-critical. After all, you made this for all of us for free, and for that I thank you a lot!

      Thanks I just downloaded it!

For future releases of this program, if you ever decide to make a future release, can you add the ability to add new lucid dreaming methods? I created one called SCILD (Subject Content Induced Lucid Dreaming) so it would be cool if I could add it.

The file doesn't seem to be up anymore, came back after getting a new computer (old one fried) I was hoping to get this DJ program again but it seems like it's been taken down.

OP if you read this, please post the file again.

i'd like to second the request for this app to be reposted.. Please, OP
I struggle to write down all details in my dream journal right away, it will be very helpful to have a program which allows me to edit and store certain information much more efficiently than a book.

Just sent this to OP today, since he lost it irresponsibly

EDIT: If I may make a few suggestions, I think you should add a bit more to the goals tab, which is really lacking. Like maybe a checkbox, or a "goals achieved" statistic. Also, the tags system should be a bit easier to use for people who use a lot of tags, like me. You should make it so that on every dream you just type in all the tags, separated by commas, and when a tag exists on multiple dreams, it counts it as the same one. Same with characters and places. It's much easier than choosing from a drop-down list of hundreds of tags

Other than that, the DJ program is awesome.
