Help me get the dream I want!

Right so, let's say I want to dream about birds (we all know what I really want to dream about ), what are the best ways to get a dream about birds?

I can't just go all day and look at birds, I have other things I have to do (like unloading the dishwasher, or taking a shower...).

What can I do in the morning that would help me have a dream about birds? In the middle of the day? And before I go to bed?

I already plan on having a day where I watch nothing but anime (I think I have enough anime to last me about 8 hours).

So yeah, anything that could give me a slight chance of having the kind of dream I want would be great. I don't care if it's brainflooder or anything!

From my experience brainfloods don't work. I could spend my entire weekend watching chaos;head but end up dreaming about school. So far all I know is using lucid dreams, and the non-lucid controlling dreams I sometimes do.

If I had to hazard a guess I say we're most likely to dream about insecurities, and the stray split second thoughts that unconsciously appeal in some way emotionally to us. Of course because it's unconscious we can't really have the intent to consciously control it... That's just my guess work though.

I may have been a coincidence, but after talking about ducks for quite some time in the DV chat, I ended up dreaming about ducks that very night. I don't remember dreaming about ducks ever before. It might be that I'm just easily influenced like that, but my experience tells me, that occupying your mind with something for an extended period of time CAN influence your dreams. I don't know of just watching 'birds' will give you your dream. Perhaps talking and actively thinking about it might help. The least you can do is to give it a try. What's the worst that could happen?

I use hypnosis to give my brother the dream he wants. Look into Self-Hypnosis

Lucid dreaming, being a no-brainer on dreamview to achieve your dream would be the "easiest way in my opinion. Otherwise, about the only other way I can think of that would generate result reliably would be to focus on your subject during the day and especially before going to sleep in such a way you would loose a bit of your sleep hours.

Also, I seem to recall from a course of psychology(an old and generic one) that dreams about your subject were less likely to occur according to some research. But I cant be sure of that, since I haven't read the said research paper, and its been a while.
There is nothing like a dream to create the future.

Right before you fall asleep think about cat girl or "birds" lol.
I'm talking right before you fall asleep. I used to do this when I was little when I wanted flying dreams.

Try mixing immersion in the subject, a brainflooder, hypnosis, and autosuggestion.

I do this when I want a specific dream. I visualise I am already dreaming it and act it all out in the faded mental images, and then let myself fall asleep with this still in my mind. Often works but is no guarantee.
