...you have a song stuck in your head? This happens fairly regularly to me, and I never listen to music that isn't coming from my car's radio. Usually its a song I haven't heard in years.
Does anyone else get this?

Yep, I frequently have songs in my dreams. They're usually annoying ones too like MacArthur Park.
o.o this has never happened to me, i feel left out...
^.^
I get this sometimes. The song isn't always in my dream, but is in my head when I'm getting up. It will disappear/be replaced soon afterwards, but it's often one I've not listened to in a while, sometimes years.
Most interesting. :)
No, I don't think I would enjoy that too much =D
I get this all the time and it drives me crazy. I swear, I only get songs stuck in my head when I first wake up in the morning. Normally, it is because I think of a certain word or line that reminds me of the lyrics. It always turns into a shower-singingfest. A groggy part of my mind must still be going haywire with associations and schemata. I really never get this once I'm fully awake.
I get this a lot! Then again I sleep listening to music anyway. Additionally; last week I had a dream (non-lucid) in which I composed a song. When I woke up I couldn't remember anything about it after a brief second of notes chaos. But It felt like I had discovered something amazing ^^
I woke up saying "Bangdigidy Bangdigidy x10" It was a lucid dream actuly..
read about it in my last dream i wrote

I've had Meat Loaf's "Objects in the Rear View Mirror (May Appear Closer Than They Are)" stuck in my head upon waking once. Thoroughly depressing song to start your morning with...
Wow! I'm sorry about what you're going through, the songs i get stuck in my head is when i turn the fan on, i can literally hear the music coming from the fan! Just as clear as day! I found out on a google search what this is called, its evc, i forgot what the c stands for but, the other two letter stand for electronic voice, its some kind of phenomina. Now some people when they experience hearing loss, and when their world is too quiet will hear imaginary sounds. I forgot what that is called. Sometimes though what you may have in your case is an ear worm.
There was this one song tht was by Tupac, titled " Don't Fall Asleep, " and when I woke up that song was just going over and over in my head..
It kind of spooked me out, because I thought it was a sign or something, so I stood up hee hee!
...
yup
I thought i'd make my 100th post nice and short...
Never :D
It's always the Rolling Stones for some reason.
I've thought about this a lot actually...
I think somehow it's related to my dad only having one tape in the car for about a decade - The Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers ...
I hate when I get a song stuck in my head. It just happened to me yesterday and I was playing it over and over in my head all day. It's like it gets stuck in your head, and the only way to get it out.. is to blow it out.. with a bullet.

I wake up nearly every single day with a song stuck in my head, except even when I remember what I was dreaming directly before waking, it rarely has anything to do with the song. Yesterday I had "Psycho Killer" (Talking Heads) stuck in my head from the moment I woke up until late afternoon, even though the last thing I dreamt was about talking to someone who worked for Google.
I had it in my notes to make a thread on this very same thing, but I never got around to it.
This happens to me pretty much every time I wake up there is some song in my head. I used to keep track of them in my dream journal (and even before I had a dream journal), but I got bored with it. I find it really interesting because sometimes it will be a song I haven't heard in forever or it will be a song that I know, but I just can't my finger on where I know it from.
I have had this happen.
I have also had this happen with other things. I have been watching soemthing called "Death Note" lately, and the past few days It has been in my head when I wake up. Like, it's the first thing I think of. O.o
I woke up with D-I-V-O-R-C-E by Dolly Parton stuck in my head this morning!!! :embarrassed:
Sometimes songs I haven't heard in forver get stuck in my head. But it can be later in the day too
