asleep in class
i have language arts second period, making it my third class of the day due to my zero hour. i am not a morning person at all. we are currently reading the tale of two cities. i have decided that as long as i pass the quizzes on it and can do well on the study assignments that i can sleep as my teacher reads it to us. i am completely new to anything and everything on this site so im looking for some answers/guidance. EVERY single time i fall asleep as he reads, the story becomes my dream. these dreams are un-realistically realistic though. all of them are lucid, however i have no control over them because, obviously, he is reading my dream to me. the weirdest thing is that i realize im dreaming and it has no effect whatsoever. i would think that since i'm not in REM that such an analytical thought would bring me back, but apparently not. if you ever get the chance, this is one of the most fun and entertaining things you can ever do, at least in my opinion. so, after that really confusing un-concise post the bottom line is this:
why dont i wake up once i realize that im dreaming. also, is it normal or "practiced" to have someone read to you as you sleep to produce lucid dreams? most of all, is that even considered a lucid dream?
please answer these questions and have patience for my really unorganized post, im workin on it.

This may not be exactly the same thing, but I sometimes fall asleep with the TV on and I will hear the dialog in the show, but the scenes will be entirely different.
Once I fell asleep during an episode of 'Dr Who' (Tom Baker) and I heard every word, except they were all sitting around a big conference like table, out of costume and reading the lines from the script. The episode was one about stone circles.
Another time I fell asleep on the sofa with Public Radio on at 10 am with Brahms playing. I heard the music and dreamed I was at a beach at the foot of a cliff with a castle above and I and other people were floating and gliding and dancing in the air as the music played. I knew it was music from the radio.
I thought it was very much fun. I didn't wake up either.
