anybody have any other interesting food experiences in dreams?
Frequently, food dreams offer dietary suggestions, and spilling the food all over yourself is a way of saying this meal is unhealthy and will put on weight that you might not want. Especially unhealthy if it's white bread. But beef is the worst meat to eat for health, especially for heart and arteries, the gravy has way too much beef fat, mashed potatoes don't usually keep the peels, where most of the vitamins are, and are generally full of more fat in the form of butter. But yeah, I know, it tastes good.
I had a crazy one when my kids were little and I was eating like they wanted to eat, and I was driving around my house in my dream in a little kids plastic car, and driving through and around heaps of Froot Loops, like little mountains, with Hershey's syrup dripping down the sides like snow. My little car was getting be a mess, with the Froot Loops glued on by the syrup. Ick! Clear message to stop snacking on the Froot Loops and taking in all that sugar! It was making a mess of my body (the car) and not good for me.
Another time, I needed to go on a vegetarian diet to allow a bleeding ulcer to heal, as meat takes more acid to digest than plant-based foods. Less acid allowed for healing of the ulcer. So I had a whole series of dreams helping me to cut out meat, like one was a hypnapompic dream of a hamburger patty with a hole in the middle, like a zero. That was really clear! And then when I got used to no beef, I had another with just a voice that said, "Put the chicken back in the chicken where it belongs!"
I love my food dreams, really. I'll get them when my body needs something too, like if I need vitamin C, I'll dream of oranges or orange juice.
Listen to them! Let them guide you.
