      My Dreams Are Being Influenced

      So lately, I realized that things that happen in my daily life, are happening in my dreams.

      For example, my friend was telling me how she went to a bar/restaurant with her boyfriend and his family. Also that she was on Duke Street. That night, I had a dream that I had to work at a bar that turned out to be a restaurant, and it was on Duke Street.

      Another time, when I was at my cousin's house, he showed me the urn where his old dog's ashes were. Then, in my dream, he was in the exact same spot where he showed me the urn in real life, and he showed me the urn again, the exact same way.

      On those days, I had been either thinking about, or discussing out loud, these two things that happened in my dream.

      So does anyone have any idea what's happening?

      Also, I figure that if I either think/talk about something in waking life, that I can get it to appear in my dream. Any thoughts on that?

      I personally think that is one of the core reasons of dreams. To process life and it's events via your sub-conscious. The weight on the word sub-conscious. Therefore, you don't need to actively think about things you see.

      I used to have dreams were I would just live life as usual. Often I'd be sitting on a chair reading a book, or sitting in the kitchen waiting for lunch. I'd know I was dreaming when I woke up, but during the dream it felt real.
