Get out! But read this book first!

I dreamed (non-LD) last night that I was visiting a friend who woke up from a nap and told me to get out of his place, but insisted I finish reading a book first. I didn't want to read the book and told him I'd get it from the library later.

I realized later that this was about the fact that this friend doesn't have anything to offer emotionally (kicked me out) but at the same time, demands much attention (I have to read this book). This is quite true of this person in waking life, but I haven't seen him in months, so why did I dream that?

Then I realized it was actually about someone I just saw a couple of days ago, and then I was like, "Dream, you're totally right! Thanks!"

(Just wanted to share that. I'm not very good at decoding dreams, so I was kind of pleased to get what this one was saying, and to have it be something helpful.)

Maybe since the person you saw a few days ago shared the same qualities of this friend, your subconscious mind remembered your friend and manifested his qualities again. I hope that this is what you meant from your post, if not I apologize :)

Yes, that's what I was thinking; something along those lines. The friend I dreamed about very clearly manifests those qualities, so it was easy for me to pick that up, but I didn't realize the person I saw the other day is similar in several respects to the friend I dreamed about (their coloring even happens to be similar)--until my dream pointed it out. That is really helpful to me, because now I may waste less time hoping for things to be a way they probably never will be.
