Interesting dream I had about an old couple.

It was quite an odd dream. I was barely a participant in it. I felt like the whole dream was a movie that I was watching except at certain parts. The emotion in the dream, the tension...it felt so real I remember it vividly.

It's somewhere in the countryside. Lots of trees, nothing city-like in sight, very beautiful. It's strange for me to dream of such wilderness when I have lived in New York my entire life. So what happens is I get on a bus.

Apparently it's some sort of tour bus or something that transports people from reststop to reststop. The bus is in motion and I'm just watching scenery. I notice a strong and stubborn looking old man seated near me. He's old, not in that sort of stereotypical way. He looks like someone who's been through a lot. I looked into his eyes and felt a flashback of some sort of tragic thing that has shaped him into the person he is.

We get to a reststop. I see an elderly woman waiting. She looks frail, but still very much passionate. At least her eyes were. She is the old man's soulmate. I don't know how I know, and you don't have to believe me, but I felt it. Like a psychic narrator I knew the entire plot.

They were once passionate lovers. Something happened in the past, and it affected both of them profoundly. The woman's memory was wiped. She cannot recall her lover's appearance. But she waits vainly at the reststop for some reason. Every day.

The bizarre part is the old man. He has his memory, and he recognizes her, but he does not do anything. He stays in his seat and he looks at her. His eyes are ambient with sadness. He wants to go to her, but something holds him back. Perhaps the past? I do not know. He just watches.

She waits for him. People come out of the bus, but no one that she knows. Her mouth opens slightly and she has a look of ultimate despair. Like a human being crushed by the Fates. Like a mother watching her only child die, she watches in despair as the bus leaves the stop. I remember my heart sinking at this point of the dream.

      And that's it.

It was a very weird dream. And very memorable. Any ideas or comments? I'd greatly appreciate. It was such a sad...but still beautiful dream.

I had a similar dream recently where I knew what two people were thinking, and I was sort of observing it without taking part. It had emotional depth too, but not to the extent of your dream. It sounds really amazing.

If fact, it would be a really good idea for a short story; dreams are brilliant writing inspiration!

WOW, thanks for sharing that dream! It painted such a vivid picture in my mind and for some reason, my mind set the scene of it in West Virginia at the New River Gorge bridge where tour busses full of old people on fellowship tours stop.

That would make such a wonderful opening scene for one of those flashback type of drama's!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

You may have tapped into one of your other lifetimes......alternate or reincarnational lives.

That is incredibly relevant to my interests.

Do you think you can expand on that in great detail?
