Thread: Share your dream from last night in one sentence

The car dives straight into the ocean where we travel the seafloor, when we eventually resurface, I see a friend and his wife. Me: "That was scary!", her: "That was beauty."

(Have I been playing too much Subnautica?? )

After a long time, a school dream (my version of a nightmare): Going from class to class, hoping it to be the last one of the day, being afraid of a test.

Had a dream like this.

I shrunk down to the size of an ant but, I had a little bit of trouble with dream control, last night (stuck ant-size), and then ended up trying to hide from my sister's Dog Goose in one of his toys.

Oh yeah, "60% of the Time, It Works Every Time!" Not the case for lucid dreaming.

Lucid: I wondered through a House at such miniature size, that everything was a bit a challenge, and cooking small marshmallows (they were giant for my siZe in a very small fire in a fireplace.

We were foraging puffball mushrooms, the other day.

Really weird, creepy dream:

I am with a group of guys and Dad, we are laying down pretending to be dead while cadavers are piled on top of us; Mom is taking the "innocent boys", including my brother, with her. Dad tells me there's "no need, you have 1200 years left."

Walking a dog, I come across a humongous dog crying and holding a tree branch in its paws - I help free a tiny baby dog from inside the branch.

I have a bucket of broth with a small wooden stool inside; I spill the broth and am very sad, but then a DC brings me a hot meal instead. It's great.

1. I was four in the dream I went into those Fun House of Mirror maze, ran full force in the side of the maZe, and knocked myself out.

2. I was doing some wirework on a soundstage. (So uncomfortable)

A string of WILDs in the middle hours of the night (so not as long or lucid as morning ones).

First I was talking to an angry little animal, who after talking to me, turned friendly.

Then I was swimming with sea life in an underwater mall, it was amazing and beautiful.

Then I was flying around, saw some DV members, one was covered in paint and painting.

Also, night before - a hygnogogic image of one of my new students (haven't met him yet, he's been out with covid symptoms), he turned to me and I saw his face, he was shining.

+ in traffic on a freeway, stopped, then moving, swerving around large piles of dirt using quick turn signals

+ riding a bike (after turning out of traffic?), girl starts following me, we go to hotel room, things get interesting, then we're at dinner with (her?) friends, I realize I haven't fixed the flat tire on my bicycle

I was with a DC that looked like KatBee in the dream, I inherited my rich grandmother's house but, got more than I bargained for and oh, it's a doozy.

In the house, a screech owl drops on my head!, I put it outside, then I find a Macaw that snuggles me and gives me love bites, I put it outside too.

Some DC makes me a beautiful dress with fancy jewelry, I get tangled in string, it's tightening on my arm and hand, pain, I untangle myself just in time.

Beautiful moonlight, it's a crescent shape.

I'm in the hunger games, running, hiding in a jungle, listening to people fighting each other, terror, then some DC runs up and right before I think he is going to attack, he tells me I've won.

+ Long sequence, involving me being a guest performer in a middle-school band.

In my dream I'm getting free gasoline outside some factory, its color is pretty amber. (don't recall if it smell strong, like actual gas)

Riding a bicycle or motorcycle through busy road. I'm wearing a dark blue, long sleeve thermal, on a hot night.

NAP: Was very sick in the dream and lost my voice.

+ walking along a side-walk, people lying in spots reserved for them that they won, a guy I'm with asking about who should be cooking the ground meat, maybe we should be selecting and cooking it ourselves, I agree, he tells the cook this.

Nightmare

A man is yelling about the toilet being dirty, I don't know what he's talking about so I just sit there stroking some brain coral, then running, hiding, chased by a torturer, screaming for help, no one comes, dragged away...

Uptick in recall with a bit more sleep, finally. Fragmented still, but a lot more content with more details recalled

+ large open dining area, we're at reserved tables, a new incoming group heads towards a large table in the corner, I think this might be our table, too

+ starting to climb up a tall stairwell, there's a guy there who's gathered a lot of large, empty, plastic, orange watering cans at the bottom, I decide to help him out by hauling a bunch of them up with me

+ walking through an orchestra (rehearsal?) strings section, they're all playing synchronized pizzicato

+ (underground parking area with rooms?)

+ in old adult PTL home living room, (naked?) late wife and kids appear on the lawn outside (party?), I move to close the curtains

+ [vivid] in home in quiet area of foreign country [England?] with woman owner, say "it's such a quiet area here," looking closely at things on wall, think I have a lot in common, now she's a man, who specializes in "pronouns," I try reading some of his worksheets, despite seeing words on paper I can't make sense of them.

+ walking outdoors (naked?) towards a large multi-story building (heading home?), see a woman in the distance walking a parallel path, get up to tall building/barrier, look up and see the various levels including an open terrace roof where I think people spend a lot of time, imagine heading up to the 2nd/3rd level on the elevator and think the people there will be surprised to see us

+ avoiding young, very well-dressed [fancy suits] security, who are guarding stairwells and elevators in a building complex, I'm bringing a large cup [movie-sized] of popcorn [all food is forbidden here] in with me, and turning to shield view of it with my body as I walk among them and rush for the stairs

+ [something about white vs. dark meat on chicken, it's actually colored red]

I had very little sleep last night, spent most of it in a quasi sleep state because my foot was throbbing in pain. Plantar fascitis plus now tendonitis because of overcompensating. I walk 2.5 miles every evening so I am probably making it worse. OK back on topic -

I had a brief WILD where I was using singing as an anchor again, singing along with a choir of what I can only say were angels, I remember it was so beautiful that when I got into the dream, I was crying. I woke up soon after due to emotional affect and was unable to get lucid again.

Sipping a drink of liquid O2 as I hike with my family in England, but something was wrong with the place.. we stopped to watch a total eclipse.

My sister serves me a plate of seafood, crabs, fish, etc, but I can't eat any of it because they are all a strange blue color.

+ very early (2-3am) morning appointment at the US citizenship application office, paper forms like airline boarding passes are spewing out of a machine and confusing me as to which one is the current form, I see paperwork with the hand-written name of my late wive's maiden name which confuses me

+ Scene of late wife in freaky mime face paint on an out-on-the-town trip with others that I never knew about, then I'm amongst them walking and threaten one of them with a switch-blade

+ party in a huge crowd, they're all standing in response to some ritual that I'm unaware of

+ walk by a gym (I used to attend?) with a group working out to an aerobic routine [visible through glass wall, dreamsign], I scrutinize the instructor to see if it's someone I recognize

+ [fragment] walking by a large vehicle parked that turns out to be a patrol boat?

Being in a forest with blue flowers everywhere, they were looking like bluebells from a distance but they were some kind of allium, and there was also a huge blue and pink lace-cap hydrangea, I was trying to take a photo of it but my phone wasn't functioning properly...

(My sleep is completely messed up these days, I am getting REM rebound every day, some dreams in the middle of the night, and then hours of semi-insomnia/low-quality sleep with some shallow dreams that feel more like daydreams... I recall many small unrelated fragments but never anything long.).

In some kind of park, I am looking at photos of the Beatles and impersonators, I ride a sub, find my lost white coat, and later, an Italian lady also in a white coat gives me her pass to extend my time at the park... I say "Gratzi" to her.

+ A long line of blue Indian elephants is arriving to the shore and climbing out of the water and up onto the land, they've swum the ocean in order to arrive here and begin a life of slavery, I climb up over green railings up the shore, reach a mailbox, open it, and see a pile of correspondence and colorful postcards giving welcome and life advice

+ ski corner, advanced skiiers are sliding sideways with a complicated ski/foot/boot position down a narrow steep stretch and performing tight cornering before continuing on, my old Scout master NB is among them, who explains the foot-out maneuver they do, I think it's really hard to do this; climb up, ice-skating store, "local delivery"; 2-person ice inflatable canoe races

Searching for moths in the night, by a swamp in the middle of the road, naked. I find a big mama moth and instead of eating it, I give my blessing and set it free. Then I turn onto a young fairy, and wonder about such wisdom!

+ Outside jogging, exercise, it's early morning, buildings/shops are not open yet, see women in headcoverings outside, thinking about location and directions, need to run to the right, run past closed bank, turn right, through closed suburban business district

+ Observing couches in open area, really like the look of them, go sleep on one, wake [FA], it's hotel we must pay for the group, there's one young man who can't pay so we must pay for him, big thing about this, get on bus, woman pays for young man, I want to help; later we're gathering outside to go party, one woman stayed in SNAKE parlor, midgets around; take guitar, string with red stripe stuck, see strange indentations on neck, start to try to play some Clapton, need to learn more pieces

Going up Snowdon (the highest mountain in Wales), but because I've been there many times, I wanted to go somewhere else, we were checking the map but it didn't make any sense.

An interesting detail - I wrote the date 20/8 in my DJ just before going to sleep - thinking "If I got lucid, I want to remember the date". I had two non-lucid moments featuring the date somehow - in one it was 22/8, in the other one 24/8

Was very sick and delirious. Was shot in the dream, drew a triangle on a big piece of Cardboard at the end of my driveway with a friend "Winter (Wink)". The drawing became a triangle portal and I went through it. When the scene changed, I recall Venom pulling a car in the snowstorm.

It may be possible that thinking about the name Winter A might have caused me to dream of a snowstorm in the weather. Mind you that I also had a fever... That may have register or translate to, as I'm cold?
