Thread: Share your dream from last night in one sentence

Peeing in the toilet, and I look up and realize I'm standing in a public place, so I quickly wipe off the seat, flush, and run! (classic dream sign for me, but no luck!)

-I start out in a classroom and am transported to West Africa where I see some strange creatures.

-I lay in the mud at a campsite.

-I DEILD and am annoyed by a dog and a DC who is terrified of my feet.

-I go through a huge canyon where a 1000 foot tall gorilla is walking around, along the way seeing peoples heads pop in and out of the ground moaning at me.

-I DEILD and fly around a solar system, wondering which planet I'm going to, when I go in a room below the very bottom of space and am greeted by scientists who are interested in me.

My brother and I were at church, and our guest speaker literally just walked through the audience the entire sermon.

A guy on my dorm was a crazed maniac in search of revenge, so I had to somehow escape this island I was trapped on with him.

I was in a car with my dad, who ran 3 red lights and hit a pedestrian before I told him to get out and let me drive.

I was telling a friend a secret, and to make sure it was okay to tell him, I did an RC, found I was dreaming, and then told him the secret... Seriously...

I helped a police officer find a missing 6 month old baby, in an alleyway behind an old building.

Had another dream we were moving back into that previous house “for real”, but did an RC as a matter of course and discovered it was a dream; then my mind tried to tell me that we had also moved into this house in waking life, too, but I rejected that as being a likely false memory, went outside flying, and was surprised to find that my shadow looked like that of a fantasy character I've been trying to summon into my LDs!—I wondered if I somehow became this character in this dream, but my body still seemed to be normal human form.

Yesterday:

+ playing the space war game "empire": furiously typing the commands at the keyboard in dogfights, winning battles as a Kaz, get killed, come back in as an Orion

+ (epic): lying on the ground [DS] on a comforter in a parking lot talking with friend; parking lot (work?) high in the hills, the gang steals my car and bashes in all the rest of the cars in the lot (repeats a few times)[odd], old friend's house full of red flowers[odd], gang arrives, think about flying away[DS], close quarters fight, my pepper spray vs. their guns & dodging bullets, escape ("don't call the police!"), @childhood home[DS], notice a change[odd], scared it's the gang, run upstairs for my gun, grab the shotgun, load it, lie at top of stairs in wait to ambush them, colleagues from work arrive with all my moving boxes downstairs

Today:

lots of dreams, no night-time recording so lost most of them

+(f) bed, jumping on bed, old adult home (was long)

+ bedroom outside, there's a wall to prevent people walking on the path from looking directly at you, guy working there, the cook rings for the meal, I gather my Sierra cup, fork, knife and spoon after a short search

+ group gathering for event, wife annoying me, old college colleagues are older but still in the department, I'm shirtless will JoIr recognize me?; DO closeup of my shoulder/arm muscles flexing while I swim ("I'm buff!"), what if tons of tiny sharks come and bite me to death?

+ gathering with friend MR, drink water from bottle that held beer before from fridge, MR is telling tale of encountering a bad guy

+ childhood home, walking from garage to front, small black boy follows, see & remember [fake memory] tree planted in middle of walkway, enter door, see mom, family's there, boy follows & mom says "oh there you are!"

late:

+ arrive in my room: closely examine multiple doors and locking mechanisms, turn off heat/radiator, exit to hallway & see & invite attractive middle-aged woman into my room, she goes there, I follow, closing doors, thinking if I should offer her a drink

+ in first adult car in childhood home garage, it behaves strangely, back out up the driveway without looking, the street is packed with red emergency vehicles, I almost roll into a fireman

+(f) on street outside childhood home, think of flying, test gravity by jumping about 15 feet into the air, I float slowly down and I sort of giggle and just continue with the dream (followed by air-swimming) (ARGH!)

very late:

+ lying under covers with sleeping girl w/red panties, get bold with my hand (while looking out for observers)

+ girl asks me to be her escort at the beach (woohoo!) because of possibility of encountering bad guys; throwing a frisbee with glowing LEDs all around the rim, the manager(?) (asks me not to do that inside?)

+(f) playing ping-pong outside with some kids (1 boy 1 girl)

+ bunch of bad guys leaving beach in a room, they left garbage, we pick it up, take it out, woman carrying very tall objects "look out for electrical wires", put things in open rooms in building? walk out to entrance to the proper garbage area

+ my kids have found a large hole in the ground & a secret room below it with ceremonial daggers, they had to scare away the rats which turns into cats, seal this room as we leave but I take the handful of daggers as souvenirs.

+(f) leaving a restaurant, some guys have a girl on the table, I'm watching as I continue by

+ return to entrance to beach area, pull a girl onto my lap, start conversation, woken by wife (ARGH!).

1. I am wading in a river watching some Native American hunters frolic with a grizzly bear and perform some amazing feats of with and against the current swimming, later my daughter and I collect brightly colored river stones (brilliant red, iridescent green, and transparent purple & blue).

2. I am on a cross-town adventure with my brother and a co-worker, we walk past the first home I owned and it has been beautifully combined with adjacent homes with a stone facade, later I get phone calls from an office secretary telling me not to discuss the "judo conspiracy."

I'm sitting with a friend that I haven't seen since highs school, and I'm surprised that he has such a flamboyantly gay voice, and we're talking about target shooting as he describes it, "shooting through two layers of tin foil, round like this (he cups his hands), oh yes, little pop cans.", which is what we usually hang up at the cabin and shoot with our pellet guns, and we talked for a very long time, but that's all I remember from the conversation. He was a very sincere and nice dream figure.

+ flashlight dark fields, scouts, weird/dirty dumpling (the dog licked it? "better boil it")

+ waterpark slides with team of rebels

+ "jellyfish migration", flying-squirrel seals, bear eats a seal, in boat at ancient rusty metal dock, navigating boat via traditional and toy controls ("does that rear control move the rudder?"); super-heros vs. super-villains, main villain "likes button controls" emerges with ray-gun, heroes win, I'm remote-controlling a villain via computer keyboard but can't get him to escape from a room since the heroes gradually remove all the objects from the room where the villain could hide/dodge block the door and pile up on him, heroes reminiscing about their powers (one guy can control the A/C in a city? "Wish I'd known that earlier").

Aside from the 4 or 5 unsuccessful OBE exit attempts, I had an interesting dream about clearing snow around my house (which I didn't recognize), and accidently hit my neighbour's house with the frontend loader (and my neighbour now lived in a mobile home), and the cops drove by slowly because somebody complained about me driving my tractor at 4 AM, not to mention the sawmill was screaming away.

Hmm what strange bland color this is after being in space.

poor early recall, just two snippets, fairly great very late with a lucid and TOTM fail

+ driving in traffic, avoiding following the crowd, long short-cut but empty roads, gas station at end of road, technician there gets extremely pissed at me for standing on his work, another guy gives me super strong solvent that eats through the bottle and gets on my face and hands and burns me

+ sweeping straw of the floor, use a vacuum(!) "Hey who thought to use a vacuum bag!?", enter room, people at a table stop talking, I vacuum stuff on the table, think I've vacuumed up a gem, empty the vacuum and a small pile of shiny lovely colorful cut gems pours out and I try to figure out which one belongs to whom

+ standing on roof closely studying shingles/structure: rainwater channels, shingles are dirty & should clean then, concerned about that giant tree limb overhead, could smash our house, is that our tree? yes

+ playing in orchestra: conductor indicates "free play solo", I read a low-A and a middle-C whole note on the sheet, a wind instrument also plays

+ In childhood home with DaBe (univ. gf.), she's thinking of transferring, I'm sad, another guy comes and sits, I make a fart joke and sound about him, DB kisses me on cheek, sits down, calls me to her, I sit & get close and touch her, see the guy standing in the room making obscene movements.

+ preparations for the mayor's investment ceremony in large outdoor/indoor area, stick around for the free food, sleep/nap/meditation time but the women won't stop talking, woman comes out of toilet pulling up her pants & people laugh, boy jumps on parents, son S2 tells me of the 3 twin guys who got a girl pregnant but turned out gay.

+ in a bathroom/outhouse at the end of a long wooden deck on a hill, closely inspecting the magnetic lock at the top of the door that needs to be re-attached, maybe nails will work

+ (LD #108) in apartment with wife, urge to fly, test it, yes can fly!, fly out, review TOTM goals, swimming pool manifests up ahead, land there, "stick to the plan!", distracted by girls, then distracted by fight (which I start), bus zips in & wife gives message and bus zips back out again

Standing in a real gothic looking church, like Westminster Abbey, but there's no roof, just really high walls, and statues are everywhere, and I'm walking amongst them with a man and woman enjoying the amazing pieces of art. Extremely vivid, complex, and clear.

Nice night, vivid present dreams, just too involved to get lucid dangit. More than listed here, forgot several (especially early)

+ wandering the frontage road along a remote stretch of freeway (I may need to call a taxi), enter restaurant[DS] (smiling/comic faces of HeMo (company N colleague) outside), cook refuses to prepare an order because there is no clean table to sit at, lasagna[DS] and other dishes are on the menu (pictures over the kitchen counter, veggy & meat options), see piles of dirty and clean disposable paper platers on the garbage can

+ chess[DS] w/sister: I think I'm doing well but she pulls a surprise check on me and I see I'm actually doomed, must resign

+ playing basketball[DS] 1 on 1: I'm having trouble dribbling and shooting, the guy is all over me and I can't get a clear shot

+ drinks in large ice-water-filled tubs at school, see beer bottle, canned food vending machine: view internal operation[DS], it bakes pumkpin pies ("man that was fast!"), 2 guys are eating them

+(f) we're waiting for ChLe (univ, grad bud), (shall I play a video game while I wait?), I find him sleeping on a couch

+ on bus [DS]: at my stop, I stand up, I have tons of stuff and full both arms with bags, etc. from my seat, and a$$hole driver (J.K. Simmons!) closes doors and drives off just before I get off and won't let me off, I ask nicely repeatedly, he ignores, I get pissed, start to write report about him, he doesn't care, he twirls his bow tie in amusement at the end

In 'the void' watching hypnagogic images changing scene about twice a second, and the were changing so fast I could barely make out any of the images; oh yes, and before my WBTB I had this dream where I was standing on a hill watching a friend build a fence from large logs that he was peeling, it looked very impressive, and I was amazed by his work ethic (wish I could get the motivated).

Oddly, my dream recall lately seems better in the middle of sleep than toward the end! Went through a low period of recall for a while (though my LD rate seemed unaffected) which now seems to be improving. Today was crazy; took me a few hours to type up everything.

- Apparently very long, complex dream for first REM cycle; remembered almost nothing—one scene was something about eating food from fast-food restaurant and my stepdad coming in with more from the same place because he didn't realize I had already eaten

- Second cycle: Another complex, involved dream about exploring some kind of building (apparently symbolic of a previous residence or time of my life); some annoying/rude female employee who treated me like a troublemaker; realized I was dreaming and told her her “preprogrammed” DC responses were inaccurate and misleading; found a “time machine” elevator and selected a city, excited to find out what this elevator would be like to ride, but things suddenly got quiet just after it started, and I realized I had woken up

- Childhood house, early morning after heavy rain/thunder, looked out the window and found very odd but cool-looking “rainbows” in the sky which formed irregular bands of swirled colors; one was to the southeast and formed a complete circle, the other was toward the west and formed a long line; took Mom outside to show her (they were rapidly fading but still visible)

- Lived at an unfamiliar house, neighbors were over, and we were about to leave on a weekend trip but had a big water leak we couldn't fix right away (nor turn off the water main for some reason), so I was busy trying to move everything off the floor so it wouldn't get wet while we were gone, hoping I wouldn't forget anything

- Had baby chickens in an incubator somewhere in the house; I had gotten a chick out playing with it, accidentally let it loose on the floor and had to chase after it, showed it to the cat to see what the cat would do (can't remember, I think the cat just sniffed and stared at it), finally put it back up

- Finding something to eat in the house while thinking up a humorous scenario about a restaurant/convenience store where you could order food either “on the go” like fast food (higher prices but faster service) or on a “It'll Be Ready When We Finish It” basis (cheaper but longer waits); amused myself by deciding that tax for the latter would be ridiculously high (several times the cost of the food) so that the price difference was essentially zero despite differences in service

Sleepus interruptus, most abrupt in the middle of a dream, how rude. Had to get up in a rush. So most recall just vanished other than what I was doing at the time of my waking, and one snippet from somewhere earlier in the night:

+(f) (flying?) through neighborhood, admiring a (recently sold?) home, (phase?) inside, see people, talk about money, (ice cream?)

+(f) Looking at clothing displays/advertising flyers, can't see anything clearly, look down at my own clothes I'm wearing a long-sleeve grey wool knit sweater, look for holes/stains, say "this is good enough, isn't it?" then was woken up.

+(f) crazy woman cuts in front of me in line, orders stuff, layout out bills on the counter which don't cover the cost, she picks up her bills and leaves even through she has a large enough single bill in her hand, I go ahead and order a chocolate ice cream bar and some other things.

- Was being chased by miniature Brontosaurus', which I had to punch on the head to deflate and kill them

Had a beginning of hypnagogia, then i woke up, a little upset that my dream ended before it began, at the same time that i looked at my 7 finger hands. I was still dreaming.

Very late night, long dozing period late, DCs messing with me all night long

+ (long) some guard/official at an attraction (water park?) won't let me (back) in (he doesn't like my cowboy hat for one thing), I get really mad, call for his manager, who also doesn't like my looks

+ walking with some guide and another couple through a steeply inclined slushy snow-covered parking lot (I'm wearing flip-flops and slipping/sliding down from one level to another), he leads us to the other guy's car which is parked in a totally vertical (like a wall) section where the cars are held in place by the trees growing there

+ woman guard won't let us through because my wife's document needs to be translated, when asked how long that will take she says "if you applied in 2007 from the state of Michigan, it would just be ready now", I scream that my wife is a certified instructor in that language, the guard changes her tune (oh, well, if she has a certificate, that's different) then and lets us go.

+(f) something about eggs and a vending machine?

+ in a (McDonald's?) there's some presentation, a girl goes to the front and makes a cute presentation, another one who's naked does the same, later the naked girl is squatting on my foot while I'm standing and while this is pleasant I decide that people are looking so I pull away my foot.

+ arriving by car over bridges back to (above?) restaurant area, sandy dunes in bright sunlight, a row of girls are sunbathing, some are topless and I catch a glimpse before they turn over/cover up, I put wife to lie down in direct bright sunlight, then cover her face from the light with a towel hung on some dry twigs sticking up from the ground, she likes that

1. On vacation where there is a large swimming pool, I dive in from a height and realize late that there is an old woman below me, a narrow miss; I do barbell squats with rolls of bamboo, I am then running laps on an odd multi-tiered track at some university.

2. An incredibly long divorce epic(I am happily married) lots of parties are attended and end in arguments, I run out in the rain at night, later I get lucid in a general store parking lot and try to get DCs to understand, they go lifeless, inhuman and wooden. (Lucid #35)
