      non-REM dreams?

I have heard of non-REM dreams before, but i've never really heard an explanation for them. What is one like? I've heard that they're kind of dark and despairing, but that was just what one person said in a thread i saw a while back. Does anyone here have any memories of a non-REM dream. Or even better, does anyone have a non-REM dream recorded in their dream journal. I would really like to hear what they are like. I don't have any memories of one. From what i've heard, they are very hard to recall, much more so than a REM dream. Anyway, if anybody has some info about them or has an entry in their dream journal about one, please post about it.

REM Dreams and Non-REM dreams are very different from each other in a few major ways. The first difference between the two is Non-REM dreams consist of brief, fragmentary impressions. They are also less likely to involve visual images compared to REM sleep, and are more frequently forgotten. Non-REM dreams are like thinking about something during the day for a brief period of time while REM dreams are comparable to thinking deeply about something. REM sleep consists of about two hours a night while Non-REM sleep lasts about four to six hours.
I guess they are just fragments, and we all have fragments from time to time :]
      It's a mad world.

I've heard that nonREM dreams are less vivid and harder to remember than REM dreams.

Non-REM dreams are boring, dull, not emotionally intense. Like you're walking down the street and nothing very interesting happens. REM dreams tend to be more exciting, more emotionally involved. I can't say I make a distinction between the two in my DJ, most of the time I don't even bother recording non-REM dreams.

      Thanks everyone for the info.

@Cusp: You said that most of the time you don't even bother recording them. So that implies that you are capable of remembering them. I'm curious as to how you can remember these. Your recall must be awesome!

      My recall comes and goes.

I assume everyone remembers non-REM dreams. They are the ones where not much interesting happens.
