There isn't a straight fire solution on entering directly into REM that I'm aware of, however, it is possible to quicken the transition into the REM phase of sleep through the use of binaural beats made specifically for dreaming. |

I have only been able to do this once, but I was very relaxed and listening to classical music. So far, I have not been able to reproduce the same results. Anyways, here's my full-length question: |

Dang, not the answer I was looking for. I have used binaural beats in the past (even made some myself), but they personally do not help me. Or, at least, there's not a significant amount of change. The problem with binaural beats is that you need headphones to play different frequencies in each ear, while making sure they are pretty durable (or at least you don't thrash around in your sleep). Unfortunately, I kick, scream, and talk throughout the whole night (while turning constantly), so any headphones I buy will definitely be broken by the time I wake up. Maybe when I get to have my own place I'll buy some speakers and place them separately at the sides of my head? That's going to be a way long time off though, probably after getting a BA. For the time being binaural beats is out of the question. |

I suppose this isn't technically against the forum rules for double-posting, but when someone else does it...Well it's kind of annoying. So excuse me for this double-post, but I might have found the solution to my problem; maybe my post can help a couple of other people. Here it is: |

This morning, I was lying in bed after having woken up and really wanted to lucid dream. I was no longer tired at all, the sun was up, and my family was making lots of noise, but I threw the covers over my head and forced myself to go to sleep. I just sort of laid there daydreaming until, finally, I fell asleep. About halfway through the dream I became lucid! |

I think the best thing to do to dream during the day if you're trying to take naps in the day is, to get up very early in the morning say around 5 am and stay, and you may become sleepy later that morning and have a dream, i've done that before. |
