Did I have a Shared Dream?

      Hello.
I have been practicing lucid dreaming for a long time now, and one of the most intense dreams I've ever had was a weird one.

I was having a normal lucid dream, you know, fighting monsters, stripping girls, stuff like that, when this guy appeared. I forgot what he looked like but he seemed to be around 20 years old. I noticed him because he was wearing casual clothes, while my DCs usually wear a "Dream Uniform". I thought nothing of him until, out of the nothing, a mountain appeared in front of him and he started climbing it. This was odd because most of the time I got full control over my dreams and stuff like that doesnt happen out of the blue. So I flew up to the guy and asked him who he was, and he looked at me, surprised, and said his name was Stephen. He then asked me who I was and I told him my name. At this point I thought that he was just some random DC gone wild or something. I wouldn't have minded him, but the mountain was in the way of my large-scale war. So I tried making the mountain disappear, but it didn't work. I thought it was odd but I was too lazy to look into it, so I decided to just fly somewhere else. That was when I saw Stephen summoning DCs. I flew up to him and asked him what the hell was going on, and he smiled and said, "You really wanna know?" I answered yes and he told me that I was in his dream and nothing but a fictional character in his mind. I was startled and told him that it was the other way around, but he didn't believe me. So, excited as I was, I summoned some naked girls in front of him. He couldn't believe his eyes. We then started trying to find out the rules of this weird event and figured out the following things:

      - We could both summon stuff and had the usual dream abilities.
      - We could not manipulate each others summoned stuff.
      - We could see each other even when the distance was really far away. For example, if he was on the moon and I was on earth, we could still see each other as black dots.
      - We could communicated without talking, we just knew what the other person wanted to say.

So after a while, we did the only natural thing and summoned two huge armies and fought each other. We agreed the we ourselves weren't allowed to interfere in the battle unless we used either basic magic (Summon flames, a small tornado, ...), or fought physically. After a while he summoned a huge rock and threw it at my troops. I flew towards it and used wind to catch it and threw it back at him. In the meantime he was going on a massive killingspree using flames. He was basically killing any of my warriors he could see. He didn't see the rock coming and was hit by it in the back. Although it was the size of a house, he just stood back up and started attacking me. We engaged one-on-one battle. We were laughing like hell, and I for one was so excited because its much more fun fighting a real person than a DC. After a while we started using magic too, and after a few seconds it was a huge battle of the element. Then the last one of my warriors died and his people started attacking me. It was way too much and I had to give up. We spent a little while creating a New York-like city together and were about to attack it when he suddenly disappeared.

A little while after that, I woke up.

Now, was that a shared dream or a trick of my mind? I never again dreamed anything like that, and I never saw Stephen again.

Wow! Cool! I don't know that much about dream control and lucid dreaming and I'm not that good at either of them yet but it sounds like you had a shared dream to me. Although, it could have been just some weird dream character like you said. I've had times where I thought that I had a shared dream with my sisters but then I'd ask them in the waking world what they dreamt about and then they told me their dream or told me that they couldn't remember their dream, and it turned out it wasn't a shared dream.

Dude that is insane! I know hardly anything about shared dreaming, but this sounds pretty crazy. Just from my basic lucid dreaming knowledge I think this could be a shared dreamed, but at the same time our minds are capable of a lot...

I don't know if I believe in shared dreams, but yours is pretty insane.

I find it's hard to record a dream in a way to make it interesting and exciting for other people to read, no matter how interesting it is to go back and read it yourself... but this is one of the few dreams I really had fun reading about.

Thats true, but usually I can control my dreams pretty well, and something like this never happened before.
