Stuck in an LD
So this morning I took a nap and had an interesting experience. I had an LD, and was completely lucid, but for some reason I thought my body that was asleep was in danger. I thought it was in danger because I thought I was asleep at the wheel. The dream started shifting it's gravity from one side to the other, so that is why I assumed I could be at the wheel of my car (and now that I think about it, I possibly got this idea from watching Inception, lol).
Anyways, getting to my point: I tried to wake myself up, but I couldn't. It was the weirdest feeling, it felt like I was stuck in the dream world forever. After a while, I just calmed down and figured, hell if I am stuck, might as well make it worthwhile and continued on with my LD. Obviously, eventually I did wake up and I ended up being sound asleep in my bed the entire time.
Anyone ever experience this before? I guess I never ran into this problem before because I never wanted to wake myself up before.

I can't say that I have but I would love to be at the point in my lucid abilities where I can get stuck.

I've had similar experience on a few occasions (not the gravity shifting thing) but being locked in a Lucid Dream... its happened only during naps ive taken after work I usually nap for an hour to three hours depending and when I usually have some of the coolest lucid dreams. I was so lucid and could not wake up I thought, am I dead? What could be happening, but like you I decided hey this is very rare I better make the best of it, so I did some flying practice and eventually woke up.

Yeah, I agree with the nap thing. I usually have the most vivid and most realistic lucids when I have naps as well. I guess it has something to do with being able to recall them much better due to waking up during it, or shortly after.
It's also interesting that you thought you were stuck when having an LD during a nap as well, maybe there's something more to lucids during naps than I previously thought.
