Quick question here.
When you attain lucidity, how immersed do you become within the dream? I'm not really referring to the vividness of the dream (or at least I don't think I am), but how 'in your body' do you feel?
Does it feel like reality.. like how you are sitting here typing away a reply on the computer? Or do you not feel the sensation of movement in your limbs?
I've tried my best to word this haha... hopefully you've caught my drift.
It feels entirely like you are in your real body. You certainly can't feel yourself in bed.
And this feeling is brought on by realizing "I am dreaming." ?Quote:

From what I can tell, one of the biggest problems people have is that when they realize they are dreaming the dream stops feeling real then ends. This has happened to me. I dont have this problem when I am semi-lucid. Im not sure how to describe semi-lucid, its where in the back of my mind I know its a dream but I dont consciously think to myself "this is a dream."
My lucids often feel exactly like reality but I'm a little less "there". I've focused on brick walls and checked my toes in dreams before, it's all very realistic; I also once ran my hand along a stucco house and it hurt.
And like Razeth said, I've never felt my real body lying in bed but some people do.

Just to add my two cents, it all depends on the vividness of the dream, and probably more importantly, the awareness you have in real life and in your dream. For example right now, are you aware that you are in your body, are you aware of the feelings in your legs and your arms? Probably not, chances are, you were identified with reading this. If you have constant awareness like that, it will certainly pass into your dreams, and if you don't, the lack of awareness will pass into your dreams as well.
When you're lucid, it all depends on how much you focus on things. If you just go with the flow or don't think about anything, than chances are you will have a very unrealistic dream. If you focus on everything you can, it will be amazingly realistic. A key thing to note is that what you ignor in a dream, isn't there. Therefore, the less ignorance, aka the more focus, that you give something, the more realistic it will be. Whether that means your body, something you see, something you feel, your senses in general, whatever it is, it will become more realistic with more focus.
Not to say it can't be realistic without focus, but you'll probably be a bit more hazy otherwise. It's why some people tend to lose their lucidity. Although to be honest, if it's a good LD, it's hard to lose focus IMO.
