to control your lucids?

I'm adopting Mzzkc's archetypal dream control method (no tutorial available). Prior to this, I've been using the dream environment to supply rational explanations for how I'm doing what I'm doing. :D
And how do you do that!? D:
the "using the dream environment to supply rational explanations for how I'm doing what I'm doing."
at this point, im willing to try ANYTHING.
D:
Will you explain please? :D
It's basically what you call passive dream control. Rather than forcing myself to fly or teleport on sheer will alone, I use some device or object to justify what I'm doing. Like a jetpack to help fly or a ring to teleport, or a particularly interesting rock to do magic. It's a tad bit roundabout, but definitely fun. ^_^
Archetypal control is rather interesting, but I'd like to obtain Mzzkc's permission before posting it.
Yeah, I just try to work with schema logic. Like, if I'm having a hard time flying for example, I just say "gravity doesn't exist here, it's a dream!" and it works great because in real life, I know there really is gravity but not in a dream. Asking for things from the right people in a dream can help cut wasted time like not asking for a puppy from someone who loves cats but instead from a dog lover.
Damn... I've never really thought about it like that. I guess I just do random stuff. I never have a plan :/
Well if you want to know how to teleport what i do is I close my eyes *Caution this can make some people wake up* I imagine in my head the place I'm going to be i plan out the whole place in my head get everything set then think to myself i know im going to be there when i open my eyes and when i do im there!
That's exactly what I do, I had no idea it was called archetypal control. It works like a charm! In order to teleport, I find something I can jump from, close my eyes and yell out where I want to go. Seems to work really well, although I don't always get to where I want to go, I sometimes end up in other places.
Archetypal control is a bit different...at some level, most dream control methods pull from it. It's basically using things you know in real life to control your dreams. Like if you're a video game addict, you may teleport using a control pad. Rather than a physical control pad, though, you recreate the feeling of using the pad. Because you're used to this working in reality, it's likely to work in your dreams, too.
I feel like being uber-elaborate, so I'm going to dump all my dream control methods here (which is usually passive-type). They might give you some ideas too, so it's all good. :P
For flying:
I wear a jetpack.
I wear Iron Man's armor.
I flap my arms.
I grow wings.
For summoning DCs:
I turn around and expect them to be behind me, imagining what they look like.
I expect to see them once I turn the corner.
For teleporting:
I open a door and expect whatever scenery/location I want to be on the other side.
I spin around very slowly and the scenery changes to that which I'm imagining around me.
I think of dream control as a part of my body. Like an arm that I've never moved before. You don't try to move your arm, you just move it. That helps with my dream control the most. As for more passive things, look in your pocket and pull out a pill for what you want. Can't fly? Pop a pill. Want to breathe fire? Pop a pill. Want to get high? Pop a pill. Pretty simple and effective.
*Note: This may or may not also work in real life, depending on what pill you take
I have an easy time of it myself because in real life I make stories that I base characters off of myself (even if there is nothing about them that is anything like me they are still me in my mind) One of my characters has been in developement for at least 10 years and has so many powers. I just think of myself in dreams as having the powers of my characters. To materialize a weapon I know that my main character that I just talked about has many weapons in a dematerialized state that he can summon at any time and then dematerialize them again. Any weapons that that character has I automatically have in my dreams. They arent physically on my body but they are a part of me kinda because my character made it a part of himself. and 10 years means I have a ton of stuff I cant even remember everything that he has but most things I think of I probably have it.
