      anybody, has it just always happened like this to you?

      i only found out about lucid dreaming in my psychology text book last semester (im a jr in college). it wasn't till then i realized i think i've been lucid dreaming since i was a kid. I remember keeping myself in this dream for hours out drifting in a inner tube in the ocean when i was like 9 or 10. i always thought people could know they were dreaming, and i kinda just naturally keep myself in dreams for a while, and i think i've been spinning my dreams situations in the past, but i don't think i've ever been conscious that this was different or that i was being in control of them. and only since reading this sight have i learned that controling them is something people try to do. i'm only kinda realizing that's what i've been doing for a while. anybody, does it/has it just always happened like this to you?

      That's really interesting. I was actually having this conversation with my sister and she's like...yeah I do it all the time, I thought everyone could do that? I think some people aren't naturals and they have to work at it to become lucid, and some people are such naturals that they just think that like everyone can do it....but that isn't so. Consider yourself lucky!!! I've been a natural, but only for like 5 years...and I have actually had to work at it so I guess I'm not a complete natural. Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!!

      i knew it wasnt normal, especially the way i do it, but maybe it's more normal than we think...

      but i have been able to do it as far back as i can remember.
      Why is it that when i am holding all of the cards, everyone else decided to play chess?

      I had a simmilar experince. I alwyas thought that everyone could controll thier dreams and know that they were in a dream. Then I came across this site and learned that not everyoen can lcuid dream.
